Loved this place! That is until I met Lexi. I've always been treated with kindness, greeted upon entered and frequently given my favorite drink as I sat. The servers are both amazing and always greeting customers with cheerful hello. Henry is the BEST! Always on top of it! Cole is typical good. Not a fan of Larissa. She tends to have her favorites and it's extremely obvious. Not just among the staff, but very clearly among the customers.
My experience with Lexi proved to be the least friendly ever! Here's what happened, I entered earlier in the day then normal because I was hungry for a smash burger. As I was taking a seat (you'll note not even seated) I said hello and requested a smash burger with no pickle. Something I've had several times; however, instead of just accepting my food order, Lexi seemed have a difficult time with it. She began to question, not repeat for clarification, but question my order. She restated not once, but 4 times that I would only get sauce than. My 1st response was that's okay. My 2nd response was it's okay, I don't care for pickles. My 3rd response was, but I'll still get cheese with it, right? She told me yes, only that and sauce. Again I said that is OK and that I've had it that way before. She than said, OK, but it's only sauce and began to enter my order. For the life of me I could not figure out why she was arguing with me about me not wanting pickles or for that matter why did she care? Even my husband asked me, what's her problem?
It didn't end there either, I like olives in my beer. She didn't argue this when I requested, but while refusing my tip as she mentioned it.
Additionally, she continued to call me sweetheart, which is just plain creepy and makes my skin crawl. At one point, in the presence of both my friend and my husband I shared my name with her and invited her to call me by my name, simply by stating, "you can call me Christi." There was no response, yet she continued to call me sweetheart. Later (per my friend, I was kind when I asked, but did not get the same response), I said, "please don't call me sweetheart." I was then given a face with her top lip on the right side turned upward, she stated in a rapid higher pitched, snippy tone, "that's just what I do, didn't mean to offend you"; yet it was clear she was the one offended. So I shared, "I'm not trying to offend you, I'd just prefer to not be called sweetheart."
Shortly after, I paid, I left her a nice tip, but she refused to take it and proceeded to tell me how nasty I was and how she had been nothing, but how nice to me she had been by bringing me my burger with no pickles and beer with olives. When I attempted to respond to her, she snipped at me stating we're not talking anymore. If that is the type of service you can expect at this place, they clearly do not need customers.
