Came here recently and had the salmon with corn and cilantro lime rice. So yummy!!! I was sat at the bar right away and got myself a drink. The salmon was juicy and the corn and rice complimented each other so well. The portion was too big for me to finish. I would come here again. Ugh, $18 for the drink but that seems to be the standard these days.

I've been a loyal customer of Mi Casa Grill Cantina for nearly two decades, dating back to their grand opening in 2006. Back then, Mi Casa was one of my favorite restaurants in Las Vegas. It had a cozy, romantic atmosphere, outstanding customer service, and bartenders and waitresses who actually knew their regular customers by name. The menu offered a great variety of dishes, generous portions, and consistently good food.
I lived only a few blocks from Silverton, so Mi Casa became my go-to restaurant whenever I was craving Mexican food or seafood. The complimentary chips and three varieties of salsa—mild, regular, and hot—were a signature touch. Their Happy Hour was legendary. Three lamb chops for $6.99, affordable margaritas, and drink specials that were genuinely worth going out for.
Even after moving across town, I continued visiting. When COVID came and the Happy Hour disappeared, I understood. Like many businesses, they had challenges. Even as prices rose and quality slowly declined, I kept giving Mi Casa chances because of the memories and loyalty I had built over the years.
Unfortunately, after my most recent visit in 2026, I can honestly say it will be my last.
The restaurant I walked into today felt nothing like the Mi Casa I knew. I didn't recognize a single host or waitress, and the service was below average. The complimentary salsa experience is gone. Instead of the three salsa varieties that made Mi Casa unique, you're now given a small dish of salsa with the chips—and charged for it on the bill.
Happy Hour? Long gone.
The final disappointment was my favorite dish: the grilled lamb chops. For years, I ordered them with a side of their excellent ranchero salsa. Not only do they no longer make the ranchero salsa, but the lamb chops have nearly doubled in price. Today, the dish costs around $52 and includes just four lamb chops with rice and beans. You're better off going to the Strip for that price.
To make matters worse, I also ordered the steak and shrimp fajitas for about $35. On paper, that sounds reasonable, right? What arrived was a small skillet overloaded with bell peppers and onions, but only three strips of steak and three little shrimp with a burnt 1/4th corn of the cob thrown in there. At that point, you're paying restaurant prices for vegetables with a small amount of protein thrown in. I can accept that, except this is the kicker: they have no flavors. Bland and boring. Even their corn tortillas feel like store-brand with preservatives.
I understand inflation. I understand food costs have increased. What I don't understand is charging significantly more while serving noticeably smaller portions and eliminating many of the things that made the restaurant special in the first place. Removing the Happy Hour deals and never bringing them back already goes to show they don't care about customer's loyalty.
What saddens me most is not the higher prices—it's watching a restaurant I genuinely loved lose its identity. The charm, hospitality, value, and attention to detail that made Mi Casa stand out have largely disappeared.
After twenty years of loyalty, this is a review I never thought I would write.
Goodbye, Mi Casa. Thank you for the memories, but you're no longer the restaurant that earned my business all those years ago.
