Food was good, but we had a large group… 20plus people that we sat next to. The children were off the charts yelling and screaming. Adults were yelling across tables. We couldn’t even hear our conversation. Our waiter was helping at the large table so we sat for 20 minutes waiting for boxes and checks. No refills on our drinks were offered. He was too busy with the large table. I ordered a TV dinner to take him. They are frozen so nothing needs to be made. I waited another 20 minutes for this. Don’t think I’ll be back again which is too bad cause the food was good. Seems like all they care about is the $ from the large group

The drinks here were good, and the food was above average with generous portions for the price. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. From the moment we were seated, the experience felt off. The host walked away immediately after seating us and didn’t acknowledge me when I said, “Thank you.” Throughout the meal, our server rarely cleared empty glasses or plates, even when stopping by to check on us. It wasn’t until I moved the empty drinks out of the way because they were crowding the table that they were finally taken. My water also sat empty for most of the evening until I had to ask for a refill. One interaction with our server was particularly uncomfortable. When I ordered a second drink, she loudly said, “You ordered a second drink, right? I’ll make sure to put it on your tab.” The comment felt unnecessary and came across as rude, especially since everyone at the table went quiet afterward. Later, we decided to put the shared food items on one friend’s tab because it would be easier for us to split the bill ourselves. Even after I explained this, the server repeatedly asked my friend—very loudly—if she was okay with it and kept insisting that she could split the checks instead. While I appreciate the offer, it felt like she wasn’t listening to what we had already decided. At the end of the meal, she even asked my friend if she had taken a photo of the receipt, which seemed like another odd interaction. Dirty plates also sat on our table for far too long. We eventually started stacking them ourselves, but they still weren’t cleared promptly. I’ve always enjoyed coming to Lazy Dog, which is why this visit was especially disappointing. The food and drinks were enjoyable, but the poor service overshadowed the entire experience and makes me hesitant to return.

I went with a group of 4, not a single person, was happy with what they ordered. For the price of the food I would expect the food to be good and it's hard to mess up a chicken caesar salad but they succeeded

We used to frequent this place. But when I was there they changed their veggie burger to a very small plan veggie patty, They used to have a wonderful beet burger. But this new little veggie patty is not so good. And it’s the same price as a regular burger. Which is odd. It’s small and not filling.

We recently visited Lazy Dog and spent about $140 on food, but unfortunately the overall experience was disappointing. The service did not feel very attentive. Our waitress rarely looked up from her screen and never checked in to ask how the food was, whether everything came out correctly, or if we needed anything. I understand restaurants get busy, but part of dining in is the experience and service, not just having food dropped off at the table. One interaction with a food runner also stood out. I was speaking with my father when she came around the corner and loudly called out, “Wedge salad!” without greeting us or approaching the table in a polite way. Other food runners were much more courteous and took a moment to greet the table appropriately, so this felt unnecessary and rude. The food was also underwhelming. I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap, and it was dry, tough, and smaller than expected. When something is described as “shawarma,” I expect it to be flavorful, tender, and well-seasoned, but this missed the mark. Overall, for the price, I expected a much better dining experience. I can order food for delivery anywhere; when I choose to dine in, I’m also paying for hospitality, attentiveness, and quality. Unfortunately, this visit did not deliver on that.
