I placed an order within only a couple of days of needing it and they had it ready and delivered it on the earlier side of their time block. I always appreciate that. Ordering was super easy and they were very responsive.

I have been a loyal customer of this bakery’s Eastern location for years, choosing them for every major family celebration because their quality and service are usually the best in the city. Unfortunately, my experience today picking up my son’s 13th birthday cake was incredibly disappointing due to one employee's behavior. I had pre-ordered the cake with a specific request to have the writing placed on the board. When it was handed to me, the writing was on a piece of hardened fondant on the front of the cake instead. The associate initially helping me was wonderfully kind, friendly, and apologetic. I told her it was absolutely fine and that I would take it as-is since I was running late. However, a second staff member intervened. Without apologizing, she demandingly insisted on taking the cake back to correct it. When I explained again that I was in a hurry and happy with the cake as it was, she turned to her colleague—right in front of me—and said in a sharp, bossy tone, “You need to make a note that she did not want to have it corrected just in case she complains later.” To be treated like a liability rather than a loyal customer who was actively trying to be accommodating was incredibly insulting. The first associate was fantastic, but the second employee's lack of customer service skills and rude attitude completely ruined what should have been a pleasant experience.

Ordered a custom cake for my daughter's 6th birthday, and it came out exactly as I asked. The look, and taste were on point and it was ready at the agreed upon time. I will say I would've gotten a smaller cake because the one I got I have quite a bit leftover. When ordering I asked the question of " will it be enough for 15-20 people," and was told it " should be." Well I probably still had enough cake for another 15 people.

I have been a customer of Freeds at this location for decades. Prior to that I went to their original location. Yet, no one knows my name. Every birthday, every anniversary. holidays, My wedding, twice, no one knows or cares. This place was THEE BOMB back in the day! BEST buttercream frosting in the world. So it pains me to write this review and I am only doing so in the hopes it inspires the powers that be at Freeds to go back to your roots. To put it bluntly, you have lowered your standards to the point I don't think the customer experience is worth the price anymore. Not even close. That's putting it politely. The buttercream doesn't even taste right anymore. I bought an apple ple for Thanksgiving that had no apples in it. No apples. When I called to get a refund I got an argument as if I was lying. I had to send photos of the no apple, apple pie. So, I received insult on top of injury. No apology, but I was refunded for the no apple pie. So recently I purchased two dozen cookies and a cake for a Birthday/Easter 2026 celebration, I pre ordered and paid for online a few weeks in advance. I arrived shortly after my designated pick up time and the place was packed, but they had a cordoned off line for "pick ups" and it was empty except for what appeared to be a customer and an employee standing halfway down in the middle of the empty cordoned off aisle, that was for "pick ups" But I couldn't tell if the customer was in line or had just stopped in an awkward place to carry on a long conversation. After they blocked me without noticing I was standing there for a few minutes I asked them, "excuse me, but are you in line for the pick ups?" She said "no" and moved slightly so I could squeeze by to get to the counter. Upon arrival I was standing as the only person in the pickup line. Several employees saw me but didn't say hello to me, or ask why I was standing at the pick up counter? They instead served every single walk in customer first. I stood there, pre paid, 40+ year loyal customer waiting for a good 20 minutes, and not one employee even bothered to say one word to me. After around 20 minutes I noticed a rack in back of me on the side, with a big sign that says "pick up items." and there were names attached to these items. So, I thought, "Oh, maybe I am supposed to just "pick up" my order and then check out with the line that is actually getting attention, I see that the two dozen cookies I ordered are there but no cake. I grabbed my two boxes that had my name on it and placed them in front of me at the counter I am still standing at, with zero acknowledgement thus far. Suddenly, one of the grumpy employees actually notices me and chastised me for picking up my two cookie boxes with my name on them! Telling me sternly that "Only employee are to touch those!" I said "oh , I am sorry it says pick up items and they have my name on them". I got no response, so I asked "Do you want me to put them back?" I was ignored Finally, after no one was left other than me standing there for now 30 minutes, finally, someone went back to retrieve my cake. When I got home we tried the cookies and sadly, they were stale. So was the cake. I spent nearly $100.00 for some cookies and a cake that were no better, and I have to say, actually worse than buying at a Smith's bakery or any grocery store bakery. Certainly had much better apple pies from a grocery store bakery! So sad this once really exceptional bakery is now forgeze. Looks 10, tastes 3. Not friendly, doesn't know a 40 year Las Vegas resident customer. Why have a pick up line? I would have been served faster if I hadn't gone to the front of an empty pick up line, and then to get chastised after being ignored for nearly a half an hour at the front of the line. Just standing there like a jerk. And one last thing. They no longer make the cinnamon crisps!! They just stopped. Probably no one there can make them. Their bakers can't bake. So for these reasons I am giving my formerly beloved bakery, that doesn't love me back, a one star.

I ordered my baby shower cake from Freed’s Bakery and I was really excited about it. It was not our first time celebrating with Freed’s. I preordered it about a month in advance and even went into the store to meet with a representative to go over every detail. Planning this baby shower meant a lot to me, so I wanted everything to be perfect. The design absolutely delivered—the baseball theme was spot on and the cake looked sooo cute. It was exactly what I had imagined. We ordered a wedding-style cake with strawberry filling, and I specifically remember being reassured that the strawberries would be fresh. The clerk even mentioned that they charge a premium because of that, so I felt confident paying the higher price. Pickup went smoothly and the cake was ready on time, which I really appreciated. But when we finally cut into it about 5–6 hours later… I was honestly shocked. The filling was completely frozen. The strawberries were hard and ice cold, not fresh at all. It was such a letdown, especially in that moment when everyone is excited to try the cake. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this really disappointed me. I expected better quality given the price and the assurances I was given. The outside was beautiful, but the inside just didn’t match the experience I was promised.
