After a long day, I went to the sister location on Rainbow & Russell with my mom for Mother's Day because she really wanted some churros, that was the whole reason we went in the first place. Got home and ate some El Pollo Loco, but then my mom noticed that there were no churros in the bag (we only ordered 3 items so I didn’t think our order could get messed up lol). She was naturally pretty sad and seemed down from that because she was really looking forward to some churros. It was Mother’s Day and she said to just forget about it and that broke my heart a little…so I drove back myself to get her her churros that she paid for and didn’t receive. Turns out, when I had eventually pulled back up to the window and explained what had happened with the receipt, I realized I accidentally pulled up to this location instead on Rainbow & Warm Springs lol. I straight up told the guy that I went to the wrong El Pollo Loco that messed up my mom’s order at the window. But the dude was so cool, he said he’ll take care of it anyways even though it was the other El Pollo Loco’s mistake, no fuss, no biggie. I couldn’t help but notice that this dude was just a genuinely solid dude with good energy coming off of him. That dude’s name was Marlon. I had to ask for his name. Marlon, if you see this, I appreciate you so much man and thank you again. It’s small things like this that can make someone’s day or night and make the world spin around just a little bit better. That stuff really does matter and add up.
