  8/26/26 @approx. 4:20p.m. - Avoid this drive-thru if you plan on using a coupon. I pulled up to order a 16-piece family meal and made the mistake of mentioning I had a coupon upfront. As soon as I said that, the employee told me to wait. After leaving me sitting there for a few minutes, he came back and suddenly claimed they were completely out of chicken and that it would be a 45-minute wait. He then tried to push me to order a salad instead. It felt incredibly dishonest, like they just didn't want to honor the coupon for a large chicken order. Terrible customer service and a completely frustrating experience.

  They ran out of chicken every 30 minutes, even though the restaurant was practically empty. There were four employees working and only two tables occupied, yet somehow there was still no chicken available. I had to wait about 30 minutes for my food. About 10 minutes after I finally got my food, three families came in, and I heard one of the employees tell them they were out of chicken again and that they would have to wait another 30 minutes. Two of those families ended up leaving because of the wait. Four workers, barely any customers, and they were still constantly running out of chicken. I’ve never seen anything like this. For a restaurant that serves chicken, this makes absolutely no sense. Attached is a video of the girl telling this family they had no chicken again. Crazy!

  This was my first time visiting El Pollo Loco, and I had a great experience. De’Arion was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. Since I’d never been here before, I had a lot of questions, and he had an answer for every one of them. His recommendations helped me choose exactly what I was looking for. I ended up ordering the Classic Baked Chicken with mac and cheese and pinto beans, along with the horchata coffee. Everything was delicious! After driving all the way from the East Coast to California, I’d gotten pretty tired of typical fast food. This meal tasted much more like a home-cooked meal, with quality that honestly felt more like a sit-down restaurant than fast food. De’Arion’s professionalism and excellent customer service made the entire experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I have the chance. If you’re on the road or just looking for a great meal that’s a step above ordinary fast food, I highly recommend giving El Pollo Loco a try. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

  We used the drive thru. Not really familiar with their menu, felt rushed through and hurried as if we were getting on cashier nerves. We ended up spending about $60 for family dinner. Probably would have spent more has We not been rushed. Not good customer service at all, even though by the time we made it to window he the cashier was smiling the entire he didn't take the time to answer our questions. Food was 💯. Customer service could be better and more patient with customers.
