- CCCodingOct 2, 20261.0It dosnt hurt to be nice, manager was very rude employee was nice. Extremely disappointed with this location. On 9/30, the drive-thru system was down, so after working an 8-hour shift, I had to get out and go inside to order. When I got home, several pieces of my chicken were overcooked and hard, and the beans were extremely soupy. I called the next day and spoke with Rosie, the manager. She confirmed the drive-thru had been down but focused almost entirely on whether I had my receipt. I explained that I used my Rewards account and had proof of the transaction in my bank account. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the physical receipt when I returned. Rosie eventually remade the order, but her attitude was incredibly rude and unnecessary. There was no apology for the poor food or the inconvenience. When I told her I wouldn’t be returning, she told me my food would be out shortly and SLAMMED the window. I’m a frequent El Pollo Loco customer with thousands of Rewards points, and this is how a legitimate complaint was handled. The employee who handed me my food was actually very nice, but management needs serious customer-service training. I will be contacting corporate about this experience.
