The only convenient breakfast option during weekdays at Golden Nugget, been a long while since our last visit to a Claim Jumper, served us well for a quick breakfast/lunch. Food is decent, fresh orange juice, and excellent service from everyone.

Dining in or ordering to go, attitude, rudeness, urgency to get rid of you -not serve you, seemed on blatant display. To the extent of just kinda tossing the to go bag as she “set” it on the counter. Want to feel like an inconvenience? Then you definitely want to eat/ order from here! Our server Elvis seemed to be too rushed to really want to take the time to answers questions. At one point my date spilled his water on the table and we attempted to flag over the staff member standing nearby, she saw us, ignored us, we stopped the manager as he passed to get the water cleaned up. The food was ok. I had the breakfast tacos, small, street like, double layered with cheese in between, stuffed with eggs (browned caused they were overcooked) chunks of sausage and pico that looked like it was old and getting mushy… they were barely ok. My favorite part was the cheese taste in between the corn tortilla tacos. The Poblano sauce served with it was also yummy. The fruit was fine. My date ordered eggs, bacon and the potatoes. No complaints. No compliments. Our to go was simple, a banana (which for some reason was sliced into a cup, I’m really hoping they didn’t take extra time to do that?! What a waste!) toast with no butter to which the staff rudely spouted “we don’t put butter” as if we knew that. I do want to note that many other guests were speaking negatively in regard to their own poor service experience… even lingering to individuals sharing their own upsets in the elevator. The fact that 2 different visits resulted in the same (lack) of service shows a consistency that certainly deserves improvement.

It's one of those hidden away secrets that are worth looking for. Chowder was to die for, the rest of the menu that I managed to eat was amazing. Can't believe this place wasn't busier! Great service from Frances, friendly and informative.

Nice lunch with an old friend. Was staying at Circa but didn't want to pay the prices so walked over to the Nugget to eat here. It's a nice, simple spot to eat and relax. Not great for sure, but certainly very good and reasonable. Beverages served quickly, huge, and always refilled. My friend had a salad with chicken and I had their Club Sandwich. Food arrived quickly and was delicious. The Club was so tasty and well made, and the fries that came with it, came out HOT, actually HOT to the touch!! That's rare. I know some people will say how can a Club get messed up, well, believe me, I've seen and tasted it. Our server was fine, not spectacular but competent and got everything right. It was a relaxing and enjoyable meal inside avoiding the 113 degree heat!! I've eaten at Claim Jumper over the years and have always found the food to be good, and nice portions for a reasonable price. It is hidden way toward the back of the Nugget, near the Pool, so you have to search a bit for it. But if you're looking for good food at better prices, this is their place, and they have a decent sized menu, from salads, sandwiches, burgers, as well as hot meals. It's a nice place and comes recommended. I would definitely consider eating here again on my next Vegas visit. They also have a location in Henderson across from Green Valley Ranch, which is also excellent. After spending some exorbitant prices on other meals in the Downtown area, this was a welcome relief.
