Atmosphere and service were excellent. I enjoyed the raspberry red, but was wishing for a sour. Husband enjoyed the naughty boo boo. My food was excellent! I had the pastrami and garlic fries. Perfection! Hubs was disappointed in the brisket, said it was more like a roast. However, he is a self-proclaimed grill master and was expecting something different. He did report that the mashed potatoes were on point.

This is a place that has won us over with its atmosphere, the view of the downtown area, and good beer—but most importantly, the friendliness of the staff. My wife and I really enjoy having a few beers and a bite to eat while soaking up the atmosphere Fox offers. We’ll definitely keep coming back.

We had travelled all day before we came here and were starving. I had the Wedge Salad, which in itself was ok, but the lettuce was not chilled, kinda like it sat in the window with hot food possibly. The dressing was good and the portion size was generous. My side of fries were old and tired, and just not that good. I had a hazy IPA beer, and it was the highlight of my meal. So good!
My boy had the Fox Burger, and said it was good. He basically inhaled it but then he’s a 15 year old and basically inhales all food. The place itself itself is quaint, and in what appears to be the historic part of Carson City. It was very clean and had a great outside patio.
Although the food was decent, the service was sub-par. The waitress, who was training a new person, forgot my son’s drink. Another employee that I flagged down was very accommodating and returned very promptly with beverage in hand. Our server came by once to check on us. Never asked me if I wanted another beer or if we wanted dessert. She never cleared our dirty dishes, and more importantly, I again had to flag down the helpful employee to closes our our check. I own a food business and this is not how I would train new servers.
