Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Extremely disappointing experience at this Whataburger in Taos. My friend accidentally left his phone in the bathroom and realized it shortly afterward, so he immediately went back to retrieve it. The phone was gone.
We spoke with the manager, who reviewed the security footage. According to the manager, the employee taking orders was the only person seen entering the bathroom immediately after my friend and was in there cleaning it.
The phone has still not been returned. At that point, we expected the management to take the situation much more seriously and help resolve it. Instead, my friend was left without his property.
I would strongly recommend keeping a close eye on your belongings if you visit this location. Very disappointing experience and absolutely not the kind of customer service or integrity I would expect from Whataburger.

Breanna was my server and did a great job at ensuring an enjoyable experience and making sure it felt like a place where goodness lives, food was truly exceptional, I mean what-a-burger(or what-a-sandwich)! Thank you to the whole team for working so hard to please the guests and cook some awesome food, I mean what-a-burger! I’ve had a lot of burgers since my first burg(burger) in 1945 at McDonald’s🤢, but the first what-a-burger I ever had was truly life changing, I was at the opening of the first what-a-burger, ah Ayer’s street take me back! Ever since then I’ve never been able to have another burger without thinking of that amazing jalapeño and cheese burgre. Then today YOU(yes Breanna and team) one upped it with that beautiful signature sandwich! Thank you Paul Berton and EVERYONE else in the whawaburger wamily?’

I want to take a moment to recognize Alexis for providing truly outstanding service at Whataburger. She was friendly, professional, and incredibly attentive, even while dealing with an extremely difficult situation. Despite being berated by her superiors in front of customers, Alexis continued to treat customers with patience, respect, and a positive attitude.
That level of professionalism says a lot about her character. She remained focused on taking care of the customers and making sure we had a good experience, even when she was clearly under pressure.
Alexis deserves recognition for her excellent customer service and professionalism. Employees like her are what make customers want to come back. I sincerely hope management recognizes what a valuable employee they have in Alexis and treats her with the respect she deserves. She does an excellent job!

Today I visited the fairly new Whataburger in Taos New Mexico. We entered the restaurant around 10:30 am and there was a sign on the counter that said everything had to be ordered through the kiosk. My husband stepped over to the kiosk and we ordered some breakfast which actually turned out to be very good. However, we had to pick out a clean table as many of them were sticky, dirty, had trash on the top of them —-we were very surprised. Also apparently somebody had stepped in dirt or syrup, and there were big footprints leading to the door so that , in combination with the dirty tables , really kind of turned us off. Anyway, our breakfast was very good and during that time several groups came into the restaurant, but when they saw the sign about no counter help and the kiosk had to be used , three of these groups turned around and left. When they brought our food to us, it was a black gentleman who was identified as the manager. We let him know that there were no napkins available at the counter —he said OK and then left to go back in the back. None of the trash or dirt or floor was addressed or napkins were ever replaced during the hour that we sat there. I did see a gentleman get up and asked to speak to the manager, and he was trying to talk to him about the trash on the tables, as well as the very very dirty floor, and the manager said that there were only three employees there and he did not want to talk to the gentleman about it so essentially the manager refused to talk to the gentleman who was trying to tell him that there were issues with the restaurant. We were pretty shocked about the rudeness of the manager. In fact the manager told the gentleman to not come back to the store. Anyway, just wanted to express my opinion of this fairly new restaurant. Thanks.
