Our family stopped in at the Silver Moon Cafe on our roadtrip. We walked into a unique restaurant that served delicious food with great service. We browsed the little store in the restaurant for a few minutes while we waited for our table. There were many unique New Mexico items available including pottery, colorful animals, and jewelry. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful. We sat on the covered patio and it was a beautiful night! The queso was just the right amount of spicy with the green chiles and came with specialty chips. The appetizer sampler came with a lot of fried goodness. The Enchiladas de Sante Fe were delicious and came with pozole and beans. Pozole was new to me and it had great flavor. The fajitas were tender and full of flavor and came with fresh guacamole. The tiny tacos were a hit with the youngest in our crew. The restaurant has a wide variety on the menu to feed any craving.

Stayed in Santa Rosa for the night and needed a restaurant we could bring our dog. Sat on the dog friendly patio and had excellent service! Our waitress was extremely friendly and went above and beyond while we were there. We shared the fajitas and chose the 3 meat option. While the portion wasn't huge, it was enough for us and we both left full. Food was very good and prices were decent. Definitely recommend if you're hungry and passing through or staying in Santa Rosa.

I ordered a taco dinner and only received 3 tacos and a salsa. I was under the impression it came with rice and posole (unless noted) as written in the menu. But when my plate of tacos came to the table I had asked if my rice and posole were still coming, I was told it was an extra $.99 which on the menu it does not state. We all ordered teas and upon refill only received water. We only ordered a soup, and two taco dinners and paid over $53. Besides the cute gift shop I would recommend eating somewhere else. The staff had an attitude, overall not worth the money spent.

We hope we would have known about this place before, on all our trips we have made to Illinois, we have to stop here in Santa Rosa NM, and this was the 1st time we decided to give it a try, Oh my Lord these are the most friendliest people you can ever meet, food is great, atmosphere was awesome, we felt so comfortable, I wish we could live here, and this would be our only restaurant to go. By the way our adult son is Autistic and he was treated like he was part of the family. Natalie was great, and the other gentleman I did not get his name, he was also great, specially with our son. Seated quickly. Complimentary chips and salsa brought to table. Order taken and 9 minutes later food received. Presentation of food in plates was good. The hubs said the peppers on his chicken sandwich were way too hot. He likes green chilies but these were over the top. Had to scrape them off. The fries were good. My chicken quesadillas were good. But something was off with the guacamole. Had a banana taste to it. I’m use to jalapeños, onions and diced tomatoes in my guacamole so not sure how they make theirs. The beans were a little on the hard side. And not a fan of the corn hominy/posole but won’t judge that. Prices were a little on the high side. Would not order these meals again.
