  Very, very expensive grocery store. Great selection. Bakery is all the premade dough from plastic tubes, so not a real bakery. No staff to help you.

  Bought Hostess donettes ( Honeybuns) yesterday July 8,26. They tasted old- checked the expiration date and it was April 24,2026! Then also bought a ready made pork chop with corn and mashed potatoes but had NO INSTRUCTIONS HOW TO COOK!! What’s wrong with this going on? Now I have to go back for my money. Can’t you all have something in place to prevent this??

  I don't typically write reviews, but since I live closest to here and I come in regularly, it would be best to give some my input for those who are on the younger side like me. Normally (at least in Market Street over on Guadalupe) when I shop, I usually don't really think about things happening in the store while I walk around shopping for food. I take my items, checkout, and move along with my day. However this is not an experience that I have in this location. Everytime I walk in, it's very uncomfortable. Specifically with the people that work there, I always get stared at, and one guy even tried following me one morning when I was getting some cereal. Even worse is the checkout area, in which the cashier really loves giving opinions on how us "young ones" should be. One older lady had made a comment on the pajamas I wore a few days ago when I was grabbing a few snacks and "attempted" to give me advice on how I should treat my health. I thought not much of it until later where different people but literally the same thing happened earlier today. I walked in, I get weird looks from one of the starbucks cashiers, and a slightly taller guy was walking rather close to me a little too often when i was grabbing some microwave dinners. This time when checking out at the cashier and I grab my card, a man with a beard points at a sign I didn't read. I didn't quite understand until he told me it doesn't take card, and "it says on the sign". He was being very rude, he took the food I was shopping to another checkout station without saying anything. I got frustrated, because to me it makes sense not everyone reads the sign and it's ok to make a little mistake, not with this guy apparently. I am supposed to be eating healthy food all the time while doing everything perfectly. This isn't a one customer/cashier problem. It's a massive problem regarding most of the people that work there, which includes the supervisors. Real question, if you were working with someone my age who happened to be disabled and had issues with shopping, checking out. What would you do? Help them? Well in my case, as someone who is mentally disabled, that is not what this store would do. Your best bet is to go to the target next door.
