Sept. 5 between 4:30 and 5;05 a.m. I have spent this much time trying to access my long-standing account and CAN'T! I have at least 10 "code" numbers come through at my request on my E-mail, and by the time I try to use any of them, they're declared INVALID! What's with this? I can get into product listings, but when I try to add them to my list to purchase, I'm told I need to SIGN IN!!!!!!! BUT I CAN'T SIGN IN! THIS IS NOT USER FRIENDLY AT ALL. Is it me? Is it Market Street? Is it Sun Spots?

Their prices are insane. The store is nice. The staff is nice but save your time and go to another chain.

Easily the nicest grocery store in northwest Albuquerque/Rio Rancho. It has a high end meat counter, a large selection of prepared meals, and overall a nice selection of groceries. It is very clean, and the staff is helpful and friendly.

Market has quite a few items that are hard to find. Unique spices, fresh seafood. And their crab boils are amazing.

Normally I have a good experience which is why this is two stars instead of one, but the way I was spoken to and treated by the self checkout woman Margaret left me in tears. I shop for my dad and myself and always put any alcohol/treats/etc on my card instead of his. I went to self checkout with more than 15 items (my fault totally yes!) and was turned away. I split my cart into my dad’s items and paid for those at a regular human manned register with a cashier.
I realized I forgot a few things so as I went back through the store I started putting things in my “to be paid for” reusable bag open in my cart. I finally finished and with less than 15 items went back to self checkout. Out of curiosity I asked Margaret if it’s possible in the future to do two checkouts of less than 15 items each next time in the self checkout as it’s easier to watch the exact price that way, but no big deal if not. Instead of just answering my question Margaret started pulling items out of my reusable bag and out of my already paid for plastic bags and demanded to see my receipt.
I gave it to her and explained that the items in the reusable bag hadn’t been paid for yet, it just helped me separate my stuff vs my dad’s stuff. I can’t even describe the way she spoke to me in a polite manner. She accused me of putting things in bags to “walk out with” and I apologized and explained I’m so used to Walmart scan and go where I put everything in the reusable bag before I get to the checkout and again apologized profusely.
Nonetheless Margaret did not care. She went and raised her voice to get the attention of a man in a polo (looking at other negative reviews I believe his name is Dan- he has a distinct large birthmark on his face) and spoke of him for a moment before coming back and made some really hurtful comments about “common sense” and “hiding items” before I finally walked away.
I did go and pay for all the rest of my items at a manned register and let a very kind couple of managers at the service desk know hey was going on and they apologized profusely and said next time ask for a manager right away and they’ll take care of me.
As someone who spends hundreds of dollars there every time I go, being treated like a thief really hurt and was so embarrassing with the scene Margaret made. All she needed to say was “no you can’t split orders at self checkout to be less than 15 items” and “hey make sure you don’t have any unpaid items in your open reusable bag in the cart”. But instead she chose to hurt someone and then laugh about it.
I wish I could better explain how hurtful and absolutely embarrassing the situation was.
