  Second time going, food was amazing, what they recommend is awesome, love the environment, I got the dino rib which was amazing, chardon the outside, but juicy on the inside and there BBQ sauce is amazing. There pulled pork was amazing not dry, juicy. There brisket is amazing as well. The smashburgers are the best in town. The Jerk chicken was delicious, my wife got that and it was so good, I wish I got that, then getting the dino rib. Also the owner recognize us this time, which is a plus. They make you feel very welcomed. If you are looking for some of the best smoked BBQ chicken/brisket/ribs, Smokey sensation is the place to go. Party of six people.

  Yeah — yours would be more straightforward and less “written.” ★★★★★ Stopped in and went with the recommendation for the jerk chicken melt on sourdough with onion rings. Really glad I did. The chicken was actually smoked and had a ton of flavor, the sandwich was loaded, and the onion rings were awesome. You can tell he knows what he’s doing and takes pride in the food. Definitely worth stopping in if you’re in Las Cruces. Just look at the pictures!

  Man am I glad I hadn’t heard of this place sooner! Moving from cruces and checked this place out on a whim. SO GOOD I had to come back a few times before I left. Food is delicious. Service is friendly. Portions are more than generous, and the sides are slammin’ Hard to find good bbq joints like this in Cruces. My favorite is the jerk chicken! Hope the owner has an opportunity to open a few more locations because this place is THAT GOOD!

  To start off, traveling here on business, and as a KCBS Certified BBQ Judge, I love trying local BBQ places to support their efforts to serve others. Ask them about their story. Now for the food. I got the 2 meat platter, brisket and beef sausage. Baked beans and dirty rice. Brisket was a beautiful smoke flavor, somewhat sweet smoke, with a perfectly balanced houseade sauce that is tremendous, unique, and a bit of an interesting mix of KC style and Carolina style. I love the sauce. Beef sausage was scored before the smoker, and excellent consistency and flavor. Both meats unique but well smoked and flavorful. You've never had these flavors, I promise. Beans and dirty rice very good individually, but sour when I mixed them. Another unique but delicious dish like that. Peach Pie very fresh, individual pie, and a good follow up. Please support this business, stop by for a visit, and try anything on their unique menu. Enjoy the experience, the unique flavors.

  Came to this restaurant for the first time today with my husband. As soon as you walk in, the restaurant smelt incredible. We made sure to order a little bit of everything and we were not disappointed! All the meats we tried were perfectly seasoned, moist, and the homemade bbq sauce was incredible! Sides were all very flavorful as well. Most importantly, not only was every part of meal delicious, but it was also hot and fresh!! Special mention for the banana pudding because it was the best we’ve ever had! Chris (the owner) and all his staff are very kind and welcoming people. We will most definitely be back again! For those who complain about the pricing remember that you probably the same if not more at mediocre chain restaurants when instead you are getting homemade, quality, local barbecue.
