  I love this store overall, but the last couple of cakes I’ve purchased from the bakery have been extremely disappointing. I was unhappy with the first one, but the second experience was even worse. While I paid for the cake, I couldn’t believe it was considered acceptable to sell in that condition. Quality control in the bakery seems to have declined, and unfortunately, based on these experiences, I won’t be recommending their cakes to others.

  I visited the Albertsons in Carlsbad, New Mexico, and left feeling very uncomfortable and unwelcome. On multiple visits, I noticed that most of the customers and employees appeared to be white, and as a person of color, I felt like I was treated differently. Several employees gave me unfriendly looks, avoided eye contact, and seemed annoyed when I asked simple questions. On one visit, I asked for help finding an item, and the employee barely acknowledged me and provided minimal assistance. During another visit, a cashier also treated me in a way that felt cold and dismissive. These interactions left me feeling like I did not belong there and that I was not welcome as a customer. I cannot speak to the intentions of the employees, but I can say that the overall atmosphere made me feel uncomfortable and singled out because of my background. I believe corporate should be aware of these concerns and look into whether customers of all backgrounds are being treated with the same level of respect and customer service. Everyone should feel welcome and comfortable shopping at Albertsons, and unfortunately that was not my experience.

  I do most of my shopping online and have usually been very pleased. However, I placed a pickup order on 6/11/26 that included a loaf of (expensive) bread. When I went to use it this morning (6/14/26), I found that several slices were molded. This is unacceptable. I recommend checking expiration dates when unloading your order. I will from now on. BTW, this is the first time this has happened to me.
