  Seven Brew – Artesia, NM This is the fourth Seven Brew location I’ve visited, so I have a pretty good understanding of the setup and what to expect. Unfortunately, this visit fell short in both service and drink quality. When we pulled up, there were about four cars in line, including ours, with two men working out front. While we waited, I watched two other employees cross the median onto the property after apparently being on shift but off-site. They then meandered back toward the shop to resume helping with the work. One of my first frustrations was the lack of a menu. I asked for one because I wasn’t seeing a list of options, and my usual drink in its usual size (24 oz) doesn’t balance well when made at Seven Brew. The young man told me they didn’t have a menu and that I would “just need to check online.” That’s a lazy response to a customer asking for help, particularly when no alternative or assistance was offered. I ultimately settled on ordering what my husband was getting because I wasn’t given a practical way to make an informed selection. We ordered quad (four-shot) coffee frappes. We wanted coffee blended with ice, without additional flavorings or sweeteners. I understand the powder mix itself contains sweetener, but our drinks were far sweeter than a coffee drink should be. The frappe tasted like sweet milk, and the coffee flavor barely came through. The ordering experience added to the frustration. After my husband placed his order, one of the women who had returned to the property referred to the drink as a “Blondie.” We had no idea what that meant. With no posted menu to reference, we had no way to verify whether that name matched what we had ordered. My husband repeated his order using the words he knew, and she looked at him with a blank expression before simply repeating the specialty name. That clarified nothing and left us feeling as though we were expected to know the shop’s terminology without being given the information to do so. At the other Seven Brew locations I’ve visited, staff generally take orders as vehicles move through the line, often getting drinks started before customers reach the payment window. That approach keeps things moving and makes the service feel more attentive. Here, despite the short line and the number of employees present or returning to work, the experience felt unnecessarily disorganized. Between the lack of accessible menu information, the dismissive response when I asked for help, the confusion over specialty drink names, the apparent lack of urgency, and drinks that barely tasted like coffee, this was a disappointing experience compared with the other three Seven Brew locations I’ve visited.

  The young lady who took our order was pleasant and efficient taking our order. Smile on her face makes me to go back again and again!! She was happy to be there doing her job!!

  Customer service is great, orders are correct and prompt. Wait time is never longer than expected no matter how many customers are in line. Keep up the great work. Last Saturday around 11 am, both lines were around the bend, and wait time was around 7 or 8 minutes. I’ve been at other places where wait time was over twice as long and there were less than half of the customers. THAT IS WHY I KEEP COMING BACK!
