Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Really disappointed with my experience at Whataburger. I ordered a regular burger and a junior burger through the app and picked it up through the drive-thru. After leaving, I noticed the junior burger was missing. When I went back to ask about it, they told me they didn’t have the small patties to make it. Nobody told me that at the window, and they still let me leave without saying anything or offering a replacement. On top of that, they told me I would have to call myself just to get a refund. Poor communication and poor customer service overall.

Came here today (4/24 at 3:07 PM), and it was one of the worst experiences we’ve had at this location—surprising, since we’re frequent customers and it’s usually clean and attentive. Today, tables were all messy, a drink spill sat on the floor for a while, and the drink machines weren’t properly stocked.
I do want to recognize Matteo. He was taking orders while also trying to clean tables and handle the spill—something no one else was addressing. Even while cleaning, coworkers kept calling him back to the register instead of stepping in. Eventually, someone covered the register, but he was trying to mop up the spill and get things cleaned properly, he had a lot on his hands. No one else seemed focused on maintaining the lobby.
They were also out of tea in the lobby. When we asked one employee if there was anymore tea, she told us no and said it would take a while to make more. When we asked Matteo, he immediately took our cups and got us tea from the back.
He never stopped moving and clearly cares about doing a good job. You have a great employee—don’t burn him out. This location needs to refocus on teamwork. And recognize great employees like Matteo.

I ordered a cheeseburger with a vanilla milkshake, and I saw a worker in the back spit in my drink. I checked the tag to be sure who it was—whoever ‘Unique’ is needs to be talked to.
