2nd time this year going to Rudys after not having it for years and boy were we disappointed. First trip the brisket was way ovwr smoked and not edible , tasted like you were chewing on charcoal bricks. Thought maybe they had an off day let's try again, ordered the moist brisket and it was super slimey and looked like it was still twitching. We used to eat here alot and with the price of meat this is definitely not acceptable. Rudys needs an overhaul because this location has gone downhill for sure.

Food was really good the first time I went. Second visit, not so good. The meats were all overcooked.

I ordered baked potatoes with the toppings on the side for dinner. When I got home, I discovered the potatoes were burnt and the meat for them was cold. I called the restaurant and spoke with a very kind lady whose name I unfortunately don't remember. She handled the situation exactly the way great customer service should. She stayed calm, listened to my concerns, immediately refunded the cost of the potatoes, and had fresh replacement potatoes ready for me when I came back. She was an excellent representative of Rudy's, and I truly appreciated how she worked to make things right. My disappointment came when I picked up the replacement order. There were four or five young ladies working at the front, and every interaction I had with them made me feel like I was inconveniencing them. I asked if the meat could also be replaced because I wanted it fresh instead of the cold meat I had originally received. Rather than treating it as part of resolving the issue, they all seemed irritated that I had asked. It left me feeling unwelcome and like my request was unreasonable. I decided to splurge on Rudy's for dinner because eating out has become expensive, and it's not something I do often. When I spend that kind of money, I expect the food to be prepared correctly and, if there's a problem, to be treated with courtesy throughout the entire experience. I want to emphasize that I prefer Rudy's over other BBQ restaurants, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I truly appreciate the outstanding service from the woman who answered the phone, but I hope the front-of-house staff can receive additional customer service training so that every guest feels valued, especially when the restaurant is correcting a mistake.

Rudy's is okay. The food is decent, and it's a convenient place to grab a quick meal, but nothing really stood out to make it memorable. Some items were good, while others were just average. Overall, it's not a bad place to eat, but it's also not one of our favorites. We'd come back if we were in the area, but there are other barbecue restaurants we enjoy more.

Today I stopped in to grab some food for my dad because of his health issues he can't come out. Being that it was Father's day, I understood that it would be busy. The line to order was near the pick up order line and people were coming and going. All of a sudden, a tall husky anglo male comes over to the line and starts yelling "I need all of you to move and make way for other customers." We weren't blocking anything but we started to back up by the door, he then proceeds to yell again and said "I need you guys to keep moving and wait outside of the door." I guess he thought that we should've known to go outside? There's a man standing behind me who has a cane and barely able to stand plus it was hot, we opened the door and form the line again but this time, the anglo man was like "Shut the door and wait outside!" I'm sorry but, there's a way to talk to people and a way not to talk to people, especially if you're in a so-called management position! After having the door closed on us and being talked to like that, the man with the cane said he felt like not being there anymore because of how we got treated. I started thinking to myself that the man with the cane was right. Why would I stay and give my hard earned money to an establishment that talked to me the way they did? The old man said he was leaving and I decided to leave too. That was no way to talk to or treat customers so yeah, Rudy's didn't deserve our money. We left and went to another place of business where we were treated with kindness. If anyone from Rudy's sees this, I hope you can train your staff to treat people right, not by yelling at them as if they were children! And to provide them with a better coping mechanism on how to handle large crowds. Just remember, if service is good, people don't mind waiting but if people are treated poorly, they more than likely will never go back. Hope that dude had the day he deserved.
