I'm not going to lie, I was a little disappointed when I saw them pull out a hamburger bun to make my brisket sandwich. However, they made up for it with their generous, thick slices of brisket and homemade barbecue sauce. There was no high fructose corn syrup here. They're not messing around. They mean business with their barbecue sauce.
I also ordered the half order of sausage.
I would recommend sparing yourself the hamburger bun and just get the half pound of brisket. That's what I will be doing when I go back next time.
Five stars because their meat was delicious, and so was their barbecue sauce.
You know you are about to eat good when it comes to Rudy's BBQ. Great brisket sandwich 🥪 and the good Ole southern tea.

Food is bland no flavor to it unless smothered in the Rudy’s BBQ sauce we got the brisket and pork ribs potatoes salad and bread and sweet tea which was mislabeled but once got the right one it tasted ok.

Was heading to the airport and was looking for a place to eat and saw Rudy's. So glad we gave it a try. Kind of surprising when you walk in but a lady told us what to do and in just a short couple minutes we had ordered and got our food. Pulled Pork and Brisket sandwich were both delicious. Wish I was closer to be able to get back and try something else.
It’s labeled as a Texas BBQ joint but if you order pulled pork for some reason it comes drowned in a mustard sauce. It’s not that great and at $19.98/pound it’s not worth getting. If they left it simple, as in no sauce, it would be better. Basically I would prefer to make the choice myself.
Brisket comes as a choice dry or wet with wet coming in at a $5 premium per pound at $16. I typically prefer bbq pork over beef but their wet brisket is the better option as opposed to the dry brisket or pulled pork. Seasoning is good, but wet isn’t incredibly moist, but ABQ is a dry environment so maybe that explains some dryness.
Venue is laidback and “country” themed, reminds me of a rural county fair. It’s not a bad thing, it’s actually my favorite part of the restaurant, but I wouldn’t come here for nostalgia.
Customer service at the counter was good. My cashier was friendly and answered questions. I had my brisket chopped for tacos and they took care of me w/o fuss or hassle.
Overall, it’s OK. I wouldn’t come again on my own accord but if a group of friends or family want to go. I could find something to eat and be fine.
