  Would have enjoyed the main dining area, but was seated at the counter. Service was very professional and attentive. Music was too loud, I could barely hear myself speak. Since, it was my first time eating at Frank's, I thought it best to to try a southern staple, Shrimp & Grits. The menu description was far better than the actual dish. It came hot serves in a bowl and looked fantastic. Filled with all the items, very picturesque. I did appreciate receiving more shrimp since they were medium size. However, they were just a tad bit overcooked. The dish lacked flavor, if there was any cheese in the grits, they jumped out of the bowl and left only the yellow color. Whatever seasoning that was used in cooking the shrimp wasn't enough to carry the dish. The huge Mason jar of lemonade and the slightly sweet cornbread wet down easily and with delight. Thought about dessert, and asked about the peach cobbler. The server swore that it would taste great, but from what I could it did not present well at all in styrofoam to-go-container. Pass. If you visit, I suggest you just jump-in like the many other happy diners I saw, and get some good ol' southern soul food cooking, but skip the Shrimp & Grits.

  I’m from out of town, staying in Albuquerque for the night, and me and my family found this place just outside of Central Ave. The restaurant atmosphere was very relaxing and cultural. The employees were super friendly and we were served almost immediately. The restaurant was full of musician memorabilia with records and a guitar Prince played on. They also played a lot of Michael Jackson music which I enjoyed. I ordered the four tender chicken & waffles and was stunned with how flavorful the food was. The tenders were a good size, bigger than your typical shrinkflated tenders from a fast food chain like Canes, and there was just the right amount of seasoning in the tenders. The waffles were also sweet and fresh and blended well with the chicken tenders. The meal also came with two small dipping containers of syrup and a container of cinnamon butter. There was a lot of food for the price given so you are definitely getting your moneys worth here. Our waitress, Connie, was very friendly and patient. My father wasn’t sure if he’d like the collard greens for his side but wanted to try them. Connie offered him to try it and if he didn’t like them he could choose a different side. My father ended up not liking them and Connie kept her word and got him a different side of his choosing. 5 stars for Connie! Overall, a great restaurant ran by great people with a great owner. 100% would come back if staying or passing through again!

  We went in with my husband and three kids we got seated and our drinks we then ordered but they did not have Mac n cheese greens which was fine we place our order and waited and waited almost an hour for our food we saw 3 other families come in after us and get there food so I asked they barely said they were starting it and that they did not have gravey now for my husbands meal. We ended up leaving due to us being there an hour and still no food or anything. It was not good service at all

  Family was in mood for fried chicken and the chain options weren't appetizing. Tried Frank's and it was just what we needed. I was initially surprised that they only had chciken tenders and wings as options, but the tenders are large...twice the size of ChickfillA tenders. I ordered the four tenders and waffles and couldn't finish it. Green beans were also great. They were out of corn bread so will try that next time. Great service, large portions, generous Mason jar drinka.

  I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND for chicken. Greens and yams. Are good but no. Redo the chicken please. And get WHOLE wings. Frank Chicken and waffles neene help on the chicken. Is it really blacked own. ?? Disrespectful chicken. How is Popeye better than you with the chicken. Im Highly disappointed..the fish is a lot better but the chicken is in y'all name. Please upgrade it. Someone please contact me. Need compensation for these 12 dry , not crunchy, extra hairy and huge , part wings . Please upgrade
