  Let’s start by saying this wasn’t the absolute worst I’ve had, but I could tell that the fried food such as the fish is made at the beginning of the shift and served as order instead of made two order. Also, the mac & cheese was so cheesy. It was insane and not in a good way another thing they are using cheap chicken wings that has feathers outside the chicken skin and inside the chicken skin

  I ordered some food at around 6:49 PM and they took my order but I literally got to the restaurant at 7:30pm and the gate was closed if you’re gonna take people’s Orders an hour and 15 minutes before you close why would you close 30 minutes before the original close time that is posted online?

  When I tell you, this place is slap yo moma guuuuud. We had the fried chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, fried mushrooms and okra. Everything was 🤏🏽🤏🏽🤏🏽. They even have a record store upstairs!

  I been coming when it was on San Mateo and my nephew wanted too try so we came to the new building and I tried the catfish po'boy' sandwich nephew the strawberry waffles Zack the homie tried the famous chicken and waffles plus we got the 12 piece chicken wings and the pecan pie. Everything was on point. Guaranteed to satisfy any appetite. Staff was very helpful treating us like family.

  Man, listen. The hostess was delightful but that's where the compliments end because the waitress was so awful and the food was so disappointing. The waitress was rude and clearly in a terrible mood from the second she reached our table. My sister in law was in from Georgia and and some family raved about this place. We decided to make some time before her flight home to try it. First, the waitress was just really bad at her job and second the food was incredibly meh. We ordered and waited, watched everyone happily eating around us and waited some more... When our food finally got to us we were missing one side off the chicken fried steak plate, a side of wings and butter for waffles. My SIL asked for butter and the wings and the waitress walked away, we never saw either of the things we asked for. Then she came back (after we had asked the hostess to send her over because we noticed that she stopped walking near our table) and said, "can I get you anything else?" Like she had at any point gotten us what we had already asked for. I ordered the grits meal with hot links and the grits were not seasoned at all, plus they were not even a recognizable consistency. I had to take the top off the salt shaker to put a mound of salt on them just to be able to taste them. Also, who thought it was a good idea to put Tabasco sauce in Louisiana jars? Like is that even ok to do in restaurants? Is Tabasco cheaper to refill the bottles so you just cross fingers that nobody will notice? When we asked for the check, she tried to charge for multiple extra sides (my SIL had not ordered any sides) and the chicken we never received. I could have overlooked bad food or bad service but not both. Legit, if you're gonna hire terrible servers at least make the food good. 100000000000% do NOT recommend.
