Got an order yesterday got two fajitas meals The fajitas were yummy. The rice on their hand had no flavor and the beans had no flavor. The sauce on the side was not my favorite And also ordered another meal a steak that was very overcooked thin steak, and it was like rubber when it was eaten. Didn’t take it back, however it was on a Sunday and live a bit out of town

⭐⭐⭐☆☆ I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately it wasn’t a good experience. If you’re advertising menudo, opening at 11:00 a.m. seems a bit late. We arrived before opening and waited about 15 minutes to get in. The first thing we noticed when we walked inside was the overwhelming smell of Pine-Sol. I appreciate a clean restaurant, but the strong chemical odor was so overpowering that it wasn’t appetizing while trying to eat. Since we had already waited, we decided to stay. The portions were small for the price. The rice tasted like it had been cooked the day before, and the meat in the green chile also tasted stale. The beans and red salsa were decent, but nothing stood out. We weren’t offered chips and salsa, so I’m not sure if that’s something they normally provide. Our waitress was very sweet, but she appeared to be new and understandably overwhelmed. For dessert, we ordered sopapillas. They came out flat, thick, and hard instead of light and fluffy, so we sent them back. Our meal for two came to about $40, and it simply wasn’t worth the price. I was hoping to find authentic Mexican food, but this tasted more like New Mexican or Tex-Mex cuisine. After trying several places around town, I’m still searching for authentic Mexican food in Alamogordo. Unfortunately, between the overpowering cleaning product smell, the stale-tasting food, the small portions, and the overall value, I won’t be returning.

The food was delicious! I had shredded beef mini tacos, my son had chicken tenders and husband had a green chili chimichanga. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal after a long day of travel.
