So, I originally wrote a 1 star review on this particular Papa John's in Woodbridge, NJ for their absolute horrible customer service and how I was treated. After that review, I was contacted by one of the managers. He was very nice and professional when we spoke. He offered to place my order and even add a couple extra wings to my order. He also gave me his personal # to be able to contact him, when I was ready to have my order redone. So eventually, I reached out to him about a week later. I left a message but did not get a callback on that day. Of course, I was disappointed but went ahead and order something else. Then, I called him back and again, no answer, no call back. Finally, a couple days later, I had decided to send him a text that I didn't want to deal with Papa John's anymore. Then around 8:20pm, on the day I text him, I got a return call. I was told that my order would be delivered to me that day. Although, I had waited a couple of days for my order since my first call, i decided to just go with the flow and be thankful that Mr. Alanzó was willing to replace my order. Then it happened, I waited and waited and waited to get my order. I took several calls between Mr. Alanzó and I to make sure the order & address were correct and there would be no issues. However, almost 2.5 hours later, I was still waiting for my food to be delivered. It was almost 11pm and I was not only tired but had to get up early. So, I tried calling Mr. Alcanzó back, got no answer, so I left him a message to cancel my order. Shortly after, he called me back and said the food was on it's way. I am literally 3 minutes from that Papá John's location and it took much longer than that. I will admit I was angry & disappointed because I expected better service. On top of it all, when I was originally asked what kind of sauce for my wings, I had asked for Blue Cheese. Guess what I didn't get for the many wings given to me🤔
So, I'll finish by saying this, although Mr. Alanzó was nice and tried to make up for the horrible service I endured on my first visit (including being made fun of) they definitely fell short once again of "delivering" a good customer experience. Many years ago, I had stopped buying from Papa John's because of their terrible customer service but this definitely sealed my decision to NEVER buy from Papa John's again! I work hard for my money and expect not perfect service, but reasonable one.
Full disclosure: this is the first order of wings I got. Mr. Alanzó sent me a larger portion the 2nd time around.
