  Ordered online for takeout. Place was somewhat crowded. Employee wasn’t very friendly. Bagels were ok considering their prices are more than most bagel places I’ve been to.

  I ordered the tuna sandwich w/ cheddar cheese on a sesame bagel, the presentation was nice, wrapped in wax paper with an small bag of chips and a pickle slice wrapped up, all neatly packed in a small box. But when I opened my sandwich there was a big piece of some filthy lint on the bottom of my bagel - right where it was cut in half. And then after I removed it, and broke off that piece of the sandwich -hoping I could still salvage it because I was that hungry, I then found a hair maybe an inch long. Very disappointing, especially because I'm on the road and can't return for a refund of my $14. I wouldv'e called but by that time they were already closed. Maybe if this place wasn't so corporate they would've noticed the place where they're preparing the food is filthy! My advice.. Save your money and eat somewhere that actually takes pride in their food!

  This location is very dirty. There are lightbulbs out in the ceiling and the floor is grimy. Only one of the line employees was wearing hair protection, and all of them definitely needed it. When I asked the employee why they weren’t wearing any hair protection, he told me he would ask his boss. New Jersey law requires this for food prep employees. The risk of eating the meal I ordered proved too great.

  This organization needs to train their employees, specifically it's local leadership to learn how to mitigate with its customers. On Mother's Day I came in early and ordered a dozen bagels to be placed in a carrier box and the woman who apparently was the Manager, initially refused to offer a box giving the excuse they needed box for online orders and would not have enough to place orders. When I insisted on having the box she had a temper tantrum and started talking in Spanish, which I understood slamming the box on the counter which startled the other team members and customers there. Totally unacceptable and poor customer service. I will no longer be purchasing any product from Manhattan Bagel. Either she gets restrained or dismissed. Horrible experience!
