So many things occurred, I do not know where to start. First, the crowded environment is extremely loud making it virtually impossible to hear the conversation at the table. 4 of us were seated at a round table in the middle of the dining area. We ordered our entire meal with the waitress, who was nice, but seemed a bit slow for the environment. The sushi arrived, but we did not have chopsticks nor soy sauce. Two salads were ordered, one salad arrived, the other salad was missing. We asked for bread, which arrived eventually, without butter, nor a knife to spread the butter, nor plates for the bread. Then the entrees arrived, without silverware to actually eat the food. I was sitting there for about 5 min waiting to eat the Delmonico I ordered. Needless to say, the beef was no longer hot. Also, for a $79 piece of meat, I should not experience pulling a tendon out my mouth...that was dissapointing. My issue is that the price point requires better service. The dining areas need service staff that monitor the room; changing plates and silverware, pouring water and wine when needed. The waitress seemed to be overwhelmed, she needed help! I felt like I was eating at a lower end restaurant, we had to keep flagging the waitress for the basics. It became comical as the night went on. Full Disclosure: We spoke to the manager on the floor (Andres). He listened to our complaints and comped our desserts, which was minimal in comparison to the service experience we were enduring. To add injury to insult, the bread which was served without butter or a knife or plates, and was cold by the time we could eat the bread was $5! Still laughing about the bread...

This was my first visit to BLU Restaurant, and my boyfriend decided to take me here. We drove all the way from New York, and it was absolutely worth it! The food was AMAZING. The manager, Andreas, recommended the chicken parmesan, and it was so delicious — he definitely did right by us. The service was incredible, and Andreas was amazing from start to finish. The drinks were very tasty with just the right kick. We also had the grilled octopus and the spicy garlic shrimp 🍤, and everything was outstanding. We will definitely be back again. The drive from Queens was well worth it. Thank you, Andreas, for your incredible service!

I was really excited to try Blu on the Hudson and took my family there for dinner. The restaurant itself is beautiful, the atmosphere is great, and our server honestly provided some of the best service I’ve received in a long time. He was attentive, kind, accommodating, funny, and truly made the experience better. Unfortunately, the food just did not meet expectations for me, especially considering the price point and hype surrounding the restaurant. I ordered the filet mignon and it came out undercooked and very bland. To their credit, they handled it professionally and replaced it with the skirt steak, which was actually really good. However, by the time the replacement came out, the moment had kind of passed and it was difficult to fully enjoy the meal. My dad and fiancé enjoyed their dishes, but honestly they’re the type that would happily eat just about anything, so take that with a grain of salt. The drinks were also a bit underwhelming and not nearly as memorable as I expected. That being said, the appetizers were definitely the highlight of the night. The crab cake and octopus were absolutely delicious and probably the standout items we ordered. Overall, I’d give it a 3/5. I don’t necessarily regret going because the service and ambiance were wonderful, but I probably wouldn’t return for a full dinner. If I did come back, it would likely just be to sit at the bar, enjoy some appetizers, and have a glass of wine while taking in the view and atmosphere.

We had an amazing time dining in on this place, the place is nicely decorated, high ceiling with a massive bar section, our server is attentive and help us on all our needs, food is fresh, appetizing and perfect servings, the cocktails is also good, we ordered calamari, blue roll, weehawken roll and octopus for appetizers all is highly recommended. We are sorted by the NY skyline which is a plus, the only downside is they don't have a valet parking but we are lucky to get spot near the restaurant, we are definitely coming back to try some other food on the menu.

My fiancé and I went to Blu for a special birthday dinner and they exceed expectations 10 fold. David and Andreus made our evening really feel special with such attention to detail and informed suggestions. The restaurant itself is gorgeous, sleek, and modern. We had the oysters rockefeller on special for the night, rice cakes, bone in strip and brazino. Everything was just phenomenal. The crust on the steak is to die for, and the creamed spinach was just superb. For dessert, the apple tar tartin and tiramisu, and I must say, the tiramisu stole the show. Best tiramisu I’ve ever had, and best mussels Ive ever had in the brazino entree. I can’t say enough how David and Andreus made us feel welcome and informed. Thank you all again. Im coming back to try everything else next time!
