  1000/10 highly recommend 👌 the food was delicious the atmosphere and energy was very welcoming Yami was very sweet and letting us try samples of the food before deciding in what me and my wife wanted. And in the end we settled for the Oxtail dinner and Oxtail Rasta Pasta which definitely had a kick of spice to it and caught me off guard but was delicious over all and the soulrito was absolutely Bomb for my lunch choice. NOW that purple rain drink was sooo good I need to get at least 2 jugs or 4 jugs of that to take back home to North Carolina and the blueberry cornbread was absolutely delectable beyond compare and would Definitely choose it over regular cornbread from now on. Definitely looking forward to going here again soon before I leave back out to NC..

  Represents only personal opinions. The mashed potato salad is too salty, and it is completely different from the praise in the comments. Oxtail is basically fat, and some people may like it, but considering the price and cost performance, although the classification is heavy, the rice and meat in it are not satisfactory. And the meat was out soon, indicating that it was ready to use next to it. The above is only a personal opinion.

  The oxtails were salty, over cooked, and dry. The Mac and cheese was bland, needed salt. To be honest the only thing I enjoyed out everything I ordered was the potato salad. I didn’t like anything else from my order. When I came in to get my order the gentleman asked everyone but me if it was their first time there and offered samples. It was my first time there. The food looks delicious but it’s doesn’t taste as good as it looks. Them oxtails I’m highly disappointed and the reviews on them to what I received did not match at all. To spend $93 and to be completely disappointed. Threw away the Mac and cheese, majority of the oxtails they were too tough to eat, yams, and jerk sandwich. Who wants to throw away $93 worth of food in this economy😑

  I've rated tons of places over the years and I only give honest opinions and reviews. With that being said I have to give this place 5 stars. The food was really good. Delicious baked Mac and cheese, juicy fried chicken and the collard greens had a nice little kick to them not to mention the corn bread was really good. They let me sample the yams and I have to say I usually don't like yams but theirs was unbelievably good and I mean good. Also met the owner who was great and brought my food out to my car. Parking is a little tough out there but it's definitely worth it because you won't be disappointed in the food. I'll definitely be stopping there again this weekend. If you like soul food then you must go to Exotic Eats I promise you won't be disappointed.

  yesterday on a rainy Saturday afternoon, me and my family decided to go get something to eat since it was raining, my oldest daughter said she knew a place and she googled it.. They have one in Brooklyn but we wanted sum good old soul/ Caribbean food.. The lady was so warm and respectful and she asked if we wanted to sample some of the items before we bought them, They had candy yams(yummy and I couldn't put it down), those macaroni and cheese( made us full) and we all had something different.. I had the Soul Bowl(4 chicken wings(choice of any sauce & 2 sides). I had macaroni and cheese and yams, like I said... I will be returning soon with my family.. but I will be trying some other things too..The girls also had Soul Bowls too(different varieties) my oldest had the $8 meal... Their dad had salmon, collard greens and rice...I gave them 5 stars .. Atmosphere was cool and family oriented and they was playing videos and music from YouTube.. It felt like home away from home... I forgot about the homemade drinks and they gave us samples too before we picked the ones we wanted..Friendly, warm experience for me and most of my family...
