  Had a great experience at Desi Daawat in Somerset. The staff were super friendly and quick whenever we needed anything, which made the whole meal enjoyable. The food was cooked really well. There’s a huge variety of both veg and non veg options, so everyone at the table can find something they like. Everything we tried tasted fresh and flavorful, and the spice level was perfect, not too mild and not too overwhelming, making it easy to go back for seconds. The mandi especially stood out and tasted very similar to the style of mandis you get in South India, which was a huge plus. Also worth mentioning, their mango lassi and beverages are high quality and honestly better than what you get at many other restaurants. The sweets and desserts were also excellent and a great way to finish the meal. The design and layout of the restaurant are beautiful as well. The wallpaper, decor, and music create a welcoming atmosphere that makes the place feel unique. The wallpaper especially gives the feeling of visiting a famous destination in South Asia. It’s a great place for groups, couples, families, or even individuals looking for a comfortable dining experience. Overall, it’s a spot that delivers on both service and food and is definitely worth visiting if you’re looking for a satisfying Indian meal.

  Visited this place with friends and had a great time. Their Mandi is a must-try, and the owner’s hospitality was truly excellent, will definitely be visiting again!

  Being a Vegetarian- had paneer Mandi from the menu and the quantity and quality was great. The crispy corn was nice also. Met the owner - super friendly.

  I stopped in to try this place my wife found on Google. The owners were there and were extremely friendly. The place was very cozy and felt almost as if you were at home rather than a public restaurant. The food was tasty and well prepared. I thought the fish curry was a nice dish. The menu items were a bit pricey and take out portion was a bit underwhelming. They also give a nice complimentary Irani chai. Overall the restaurant was worth the visit. They have other items such as masala dosas that I look forward to trying.
