Staff was nice, but feels disorganized. You can’t order from the drive-thru

Ordered ahead. It wasn't done until 20 minutes after placing the order. I would have been much more pissed if it wasn't BOGO. There is so little meat on this thing it is only visible on the side. I'm not even sure the middle has any meat. See the picture.

I’ve been a loyal fan of Jimmy John’s for years especially the locations in Hoboken and Jersey City, so I was genuinely shocked by how bad the Secaucus location was. First red flag: it’s merged with a Dunkin’ donuts. I never thought sandwiches and donuts belonged under the same roof, and unfortunately the execution proves it. The place felt disorganized from the moment I walked in. There was one single employee handling everything, making sandwiches, taking counter orders, and managing drive-thru orders. The wait was nearly an hour. I actually had to say something just to be acknowledged. That’s completely unacceptable. Then it got worse. The bread came out burnt. After I ordered, I was told they were out of key ingredients. Why wasn’t that communicated upfront? And the sandwich-making station was completely blocked off from view, which only made me question what was going on behind the scenes. Transparency matters, especially when it comes to food prep and cleanliness. When I finally got the sandwich, the first bite literally scraped the roof of my mouth from how over-cooked the bread was. Why didn’t they throw the bread put?!? Later that day, I felt sick and had stomach issues. Whether it was the quality of ingredients or poor handling, something clearly wasn’t right. Paying nearly $20 per sandwich that’s burnt, incomplete, and leaves you regretting the meal is absurd. This was, without exaggeration, the worst experience I’ve ever had at what used to be a reliable sandwich chain. If this location represents the brand now, that’s incredibly disappointing. I won’t be back. The health inspector should make an surprised inspection.
