  Very very cute place! Beautiful colors and upbeat atmosphere. The food is fantastic and the workers are extremely friendly. Everyone should stop by when they have a chance!

  Venir a comer en Torres Cafe & Catering en Perth Amboy es literalmente un recuerdo lo mucho que extraño la isla! 🌴 🇵🇷 Todo el que entra / sale “buen provecho” “buenas tardes” “con permiso” “amor/cariño/hermosa en que te ayudo? lo bello que es ser cortés, ser amable, ser paciente! La comida mayormente fresca! Cuando entras unos olores riquísimo, la comida mucho más rica! Nunca me decepcionó.

  I lived in Perth amboy, to Woodbridge, back to amboy for the past 32 years. My favorite place to eat. I’ve seen this place look like every other place and slowly put paint on the walls, setup outdoors, start putting roosters everywhere and that speaks to me. Someone putting their heart into something and growing from it. I’m a no sabo (Latin but can’t speak Spanish), and I say that to say to those that can’t speak Spanish that this restaurant made me comfortable ordering their food. Ok I gotta go,the food is getting cold in my passenger seat

  During a video call with my brothers, who had gone to order food for us, I encountered an unpleasant experience with the older lady who took their order approximately 30 minutes ago. While I appreciate the food, her demeanor was highly disrespectful. She unnecessarily questioned the order, insisting that the items were not visible on the screen. When my brother specifically requested a cheesesteak sandwich, she repeatedly asked for empanadas or sandwiches, scolding him for not ordering it sooner. This was particularly frustrating because he had been trying to order it sooner, but she was the one who was not listening. Furthermore, there was no language barrier, as she was also speaking Spanish. My brother was not being difficult, regardless of her kindness. However, her behavior continued to escalate, becoming increasingly rude. The other employee, a teenage girl, was exceptionally kind and well-mannered, displaying a genuine sense of sweetness. Despite my years of frequent dining at this establishment, this incident was truly disappointing. When two teenage boys order food alone, it is not appropriate to expect rude service. After owner responded - Thank you for your response. I appreciate you acknowledging that what happened to my brother was unacceptable. I also want to clarify that I did try to resolve this privately before leaving a review. I called the restaurant multiple times after the incident, but no one answered or returned my calls. Had I been able to speak with someone directly, I would have preferred to address it that way first. You’re correct that I’ve been a repeat customer because I’ve generally enjoyed my experiences there. That’s exactly why this situation was so disappointing. My review wasn’t meant to ignore the positive experiences I’ve had in the past—it was meant to reflect how this particular incident was handled and the lack of communication afterward. I genuinely hope this is addressed so that no other customer has a similar experience. I appreciate you taking the time to respond and for saying you’ll address it with your employees.
