  I visited this Smashburger for the first time, and it will also be my last. The food wasn't the issue—it was the complete lack of customer service and flexibility. My son is a student, and we noticed the 15% student discount sign just seconds after he had already tapped his phone to pay. We immediately asked if they could honor the discount, explaining that we simply hadn't seen the sign until after the transaction. Instead of offering a simple solution, we were told we had to wait for the manager. After waiting about 10 minutes while she finished preparing several orders—including ours—she came out and refused to honor the discount. She said they couldn't refund and recharge the purchase, nor could they refund just the amount of the discount. I've never experienced such inflexibility over something so minor. Most businesses would simply refund and reprocess the transaction or apply the discount as a courtesy, especially when the request was made immediately after payment. At the very least, a polite reminder to mention the student discount before paying next time would have gone a long way. What disappointed me even more was the manager's attitude. When I told her we would not be returning, her response was simply, "That's fine," delivered in an arrogant and dismissive manner. That level of indifference toward customers is unacceptable. Customer service is about solving small problems and making customers feel valued. Unfortunately, this experience showed the exact opposite. I won't be returning, and I hope management takes customer service and employee training more seriously

  Was excited to have a smashbuger, how is it that the rude cashier put in a hot dog order? Hot dog was NASTY!!!! Don't waste your money.

  It is absolutely absurd for your staff to be chatting amongst themselves while your customers are waiting in line. Secondly, the fact that an employee from a neighboring restaurant came over, stood right where our orders are handed out, and engaged in conversation with the staff inside—causing a simple order of french fries to be delayed by 25 minutes and resulting in my hamburger arriving stone cold—is completely unacceptable. To top it all off, when I pointed this out, they looked at me and laughed in a manner that felt like mockery; just so you are aware—this is the caliber of staff you currently employ. If you do not rectify this situation, I am afraid you stand to lose a great deal.
