- KDKevin DolanJul 16, 20262.0The only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because the service and atmosphere are remarkably good. However, the food is awful: a) Fries are extremely soggy; b) The burgers are fair at best; & c) The buns are just below Wonder Bread quality. To add insult to injury, the prices for this high school cafeteria food are exorbitant. The walls of this joint are rather comical because they are plaster with past articles stating that they make the best burger on earth (ummm...not even close). In summary, bad food for ridiculous prices: there are at least 2 or 3 burger joints in the area that blow this place away and make some of the best burgers/fries I've ever tasted.

We Drove back to the restaurant where they said oh yeah the fry is down we have no french fries. Now mind you not only did they charge us for this but at no time did anyone let us know that they didn’t have them? OK not a big deal things happen. I asked for a refund they said they can’t do a refund only online but then they said they could not show us how to do it online. So I said, can you please contact the manager because at this point I was very annoyed and they finally got in touch with a manager who told me I had to get the refund online. So not only did they refuse a refund, but no one in that place seemed the least bit apologetic so I called customer service from five guys. Who told me you can’t get a refund online meaning the store has no idea what they’re talking about and that they would contact corporate and corporate would get in touch with me. This seems like a lot over stupid french fries but it was really the principal of the entire thing and also, why should I pay for something that I didn’t get. Here we are a week later and no one from corporate has called me back so it is very obvious that both this store and this business does not carry it at all about their customers. There are plenty of places to get food in Newton New Jersey, so I’ll just find somewhere else.

Does Five Guys offer gluten-free options?
The only products we offer that contain gluten are our buns, hot dogs (Canada only), HP sauce (UK only), and the malt vinegar condiment for our fries. In Canada, our Poutine Gravy condiment also contains gluten. All of our sandwiches, including burgers, hot dogs and the veggie sandwich, are available without a bun via our wrap or bowls.

Why does Five Guys have peanuts for free?
Serving peanuts for free began as a way for people to pass the time while they waited for us to cook up their meals (way back in the day, before smartphones). It was such a hit, and has become such a Five Guys tradition, that we keep our stores stocked with peanuts to this day.
What is the best way to reheat leftover fries?
Leftover fries are excellent reheated in the oven (or Air Fryer). According to Chad Murrell, one of the Five Guys, just pop them in a 350-degree oven for about 10-15 minutes.
Also, give those leftover fries a try as hash browns, home fries, or even as the filling in an omelet.
