I’d rather go hungry than ever eat at this Smashburger again. My relative ate here while visiting me in November 2025 and woke up the next morning with severe diarrhea. At the time, I didn’t think much of it. Then on June 19, 2026, I ordered a burger and fries from this same location. For the next seven days, I had severe stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. I couldn’t keep food down and became so dehydrated that I ended up in urgent care receiving IV fluids. I tested positive for rotavirus. I haven’t been that sick in years. I’m convinced I got sick from this Smashburger. I live alone, work remotely most days, rarely go out, and Smash burger was the only fast-food restaurant I ate at that week. I’m also extremely careful about handwashing and hadn’t had a stomach virus in over 12 years. I contacted Smashburger, and after “investigating,” they claimed everything met their safety standards and offered me a free meal. Honestly, why would I go back after spending a week sick and ending up in urgent care on IV fluids? No thanks. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. If this Smashburger were my only option, I’d rather starve. Eat here at your own risk.
