For a chain supermarket, I expect better. I've been in New Providence for a month and as Acme is the only big grocery store in town (Summit, Watchung, and Berkeley Heights are a short drive away). In 1 month, I've done delivery (the only reason this didn't get 1 star) and in store shopping. On 3 occasions I have had to go to the customer service desk to ask for assistance. Mind you, each time I have spoken to someone who seems to be in management position. 1- I asked about a product (freeze dried fruit, not dried fruit) and said it was listed as in stock on the website. I was waved over to follow this main to the produce section and told, if they had it, the item would be "over there." If there was an award for least amount of effort, then he gets it. Zero attempt to actually look at the shelf to help me locate the item, zero attempt to look at a computer or even on the store's own app. I ended up getting something else and it was my next visit where on accident I saw the product I was looking for. The produce section could be organized a lot better. The freeze dried fruit isn't near the dried fruit and there's a few bags shoved under a display of fresh fruit. 2- A separate visit I asked about tofu (it still hadn't been restocked and based on the week prior, the shipment should have come in). A different man has me follow him to produce and I stood there while he asked the guy in charge of produce, who then yelled across the produce section to a guy on the other side. It was like watching a child's game of telephone. The guy they were yelling to, implied there was product in the case (no there was 1 sad package of tofu). He yells back to his boss, who tells his boss, who tells me. I am standing there the entire time. Then I wait for the question of, "Is there any in the back" to go back across the store. This really seemed to bother the guy on the other side. He could not give a coherent answer and was clearly not about to go look or check. Ultimately, the guy talking to me suggested I call the next day. Nope. I think I'd rather get an Uber and go elsewhere or just order delivery from Costco. Would it have been so hard for anyone to check their inventory via a computer? Why didn't anyone actually go look at the case that was only a few steps away to see that there was only 1 pack. Kroger, Fred Meyer, Trader Joe's... the list goes on, all of these stores will actually have someone check inventory and in all of those situations I have purchased 2 or more cases because of that effort. I did notice a lot of reviews about spoiled products. Don't buy Mung Bean Sprouts here. The first time I did, they went off the next day but I figured it was too close to the expiration date. The second time I did, despite it being a new shipment and a further out expiration date, and my keeping them in the fridge overnight they were wet brown mush the next day. I don't normally review grocery stores and for serious matters I just call corporate and encourage them to fix service issues, but this experience was just a full on display of lazy half efforts all around. So unless they fix things, they will continue to lose good customers to other stores that actually put in a little effort.

After months and months they finally had my signature select cola zero in stock. I am very proud of them!
