When I got to the window, the employee asked if I had cash, and I told her I was paying with Apple Pay. She rolled her eyes and handed me the card reader. When the tip screen appeared, I selected $0 and completed my payment. After seeing that I did not leave a tip, she looked at the screen, said something to another employee in their language, and they both looked at me. I was then told to pull forward because they would bring my coffee out to me. I found the entire interaction uncomfortable and unprofessional, especially since I have never been asked to pull forward and wait for a simple iced coffee before. The employee’s attitude and behavior made me feel as though I was being treated differently because I chose not to leave a tip.

I never get receipts but she gave me one and tipped herself. It was only $1.58 but how many cars go threw that drive threw a day???

There were no customers inside and only a few cars in the drive-thru, yet I was required to use the self-service kiosk to place my order. Not a single employee acknowledged me, greeted me, or even said “hello” from the moment I walked in until I left. I don’t mind using technology when it’s helpful, but basic customer service should still be part of the experience. A simple greeting or acknowledgment goes a long way in making customers feel welcome. The coffee was fine, but the lack of any interaction made the visit feel impersonal and uninviting. I hope management encourages staff to be more attentive to customers who come inside.
