I placed a $50+ order through Uber Eats and waited over an hour for my food. Throughout the entire process, the Uber Eats app repeatedly showed drivers being sent to the restaurant to pick up my order. Then, shortly afterward, I would receive an error saying “Oops, we’ll find you another driver.” This happened over and over again.
After dealing with this for more than an hour, I decided to call the restaurant directly. I spoke with the store manager, TJ, expecting at least some basic customer service or an attempt to figure out what was happening with my order.
Instead, I got absolutely no help.
TJ was completely dismissive and showed zero urgency, zero accountability, and seemingly zero interest in helping a customer who had just spent more than $50 at his restaurant. I wasn't asking him to perform a miracle — I simply wanted someone at the restaurant to actually look into the situation and help figure out what was going on.
I completely understand that Uber Eats has its own drivers and that delivery problems can happen. What I don't understand is the lack of customer service when a customer calls the restaurant after waiting over an hour.
This wasn't just a bad delivery experience. It was a bad customer-service experience.
If this is how management treats customers when there is a problem, I would strongly recommend ordering somewhere else.

Smashburger in Lodi did their thing. The double cheeseburger came out hot, fresh, and juicy with plenty of flavor. The patties had a nice sear, the cheese was melted perfectly, and everything tasted fresh without being overly greasy. Definitely filling and worth the stop. I’d come back for another one for sure. 9/10.

One of the best burgers in the county. Freshly made to order to your liking. The Lodi location is super clean with a friendly atmosphere. I've never had a disappointing experience. Reasonable price and I highly recommend you visit Smashburger.

I had thee worst fries I ever had in my life from this location. The burger was great but the fries were dried up, cold and hard. Then I had the nerve to tip. What am I tipping... for someone taking my order!?!? No more tipping register service for me (no tipping before tasting my food as I basically paid more for food that did not deserve that charge). Knowing that the fries are hours/days old and making the decision to swap out the fries to fries that are fresh and hot to ensure your customer is enjoying great food is worth a tip. When cashier's are wondering why people don't to them, think back to this. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

Absolutely terrible and very unexpected. On top of getting the order wrong, burgers were extremely dry, meat was way over cooked and the whole thing was put together extremely sloppy.
