I have not journeyed to Lincroft in quite a while ever since I went to Brookdale Community College. The trip down memory lane also led me to Lincroft Plaza.
Brand: 4/5
Atlantic Bagel is a small chain in the New Jersey area, specifically the shore region. This one was located in Lincroft Plaza in Lincroft. Its logo has a simple design, letting you know what to expect, with the logo having a simple ABC in black, standard font. The interior retains that rustic, small town look, with the wooden floors and the brick walls.
Atmosphere: 3/5
I noticed that the beverages section had doors that did not slide by itself, leaving me to close it myself. The loud music did have me repeat my order. Nonetheless, I had plenty of space to choose from, and the food selection involved many breakfast offerings on the screens above.
Food: 5/5
I ordered the Bambino, their signature bagel sandwich with pork rolls, onion, cheese omelette, bacon, sausage, and potato bits, between my choice of a sesame seed bagel. I will say such a flavor-packed sandwich definitely fits as a signature sandwich. Any taste the onions probably had a subtle flavor to it, since I did not taste them compared to the hearty potatoes, the spicy pork roll, and the warm cheese. While the omelettes did slide out of the sandwich, the bagel itself managed to hold together.
I can see how such a breakfast sandwich can represent Atlantic Bagel. I will say that I had similar breakfast sandwiches, in the past and I cannot say that this one had a strong impression on me. I will say that the bagels set it apart from the others, and it filled me throughout the day. The service prepared the sandwich well, and it had a good amount of heat to it.
Service: 5/5
They care for their food, while also caring for their relationship with their customers. I had no issues waiting for my order, despite the late morning. They gave me a pretty good first impression of the establishment. Nothing about it interfered too much with the service.
Cost: 3/5
Taking into consideration every aspect of Atlantic Bagel Lincroft, I will say that they managed to work as a small chain. While I would have reluctance returning, I would not say I hated the experiencing going there. The flavor-jammed Bambino made the trip to Lincroft Plaza worth it out of every other aspect. I cannot say I have any personal suggestions, though I would loosely suggest that they maintain an identity that separates them from other breakfast eateries, whether through their branding or advertising their signature dishes more. If I do find myself in Lincroft Plaza again, I would definitely try their other signature dishes.
Rating: 4/5 Stars
While I can say that Atlantic Bagel retains a homey standing in Lincroft, it only does so much. I can see how it will last a while in the future, though I do not know if I would return.
