Stopped by Under the Moon for dinner on our way back from an overnight sojourn in Pennsylvania. The weather was nice so we sat outside. We ordered the Tapas trio for $40; each item was of superior quality ingredients excellently prepared and appropriately spiced. Very tasty. Highly recommend.

The food is good. If you like the menu, you'll be happy (esp. the fries--those are amazing). The reason I'm giving this place a five-star review is that every single staff member was absolutely lovely. Just moving through the space, we were greeted and/or received a big smile. They don't need to do that but it must be the culture at Under the Moon Cafe. We felt welcome and at home and we will surely return.

Food was severely underwhelming considering the price! Food was mediocre at best. $9 for “still water” is robbery. My fiancée and I got a tapas tower, 2 burgers, and water, the bill came to $100.All 3 of the appetizers were just meh. Burgers were just OK. Service was just meh too. Save your money and time, not worth it at all!
Would not recommend nor return.

This review is somewhat difficult to write because U.T.M. has been one of our go to brunch destinations for several years. We made a reservation for 11:45 a.m. this past Sunday and specifically requested a table on the church side, out of direct sunlight, as we typically bring our Shih Tzu with us. We were surprised to be seated indoors instead. While the air conditioning was certainly appreciated on a warm day, we generally prefer outdoor seating when dining with our dog, out of consideration for other guests.
Service was hyper and felt a bit overwhelming for a relaxed Sunday brunch atmosphere.
As always, the cocktails were excellent. Both the Black Widow and the Pear Drop were well-crafted and enjoyable. Unfortunately, the coffee was disappointing and did not meet the standard we have come to expect.
We were interested in trying the bacon-wrapped dates and asked if they could be ordered as an appetizer. We were informed that they were only available as part of the Tapas Tower. Since tapas are traditionally small plates intended to be enjoyed individually or shared, we found this policy somewhat confusing.
For our entrees, the French toast with berries was very good and earns a definite thumbs-up. My wife ordered the UTM Eggs with bacon and specifically requested the bacon to be well done. Unfortunately, it arrived overcooked rather than simply crisp, which detracted from the dish.
As we were enjoying our meal, a busser cleaned the table next to us. Unfortunately, instead of properly removing the food remnants, several scraps were brushed directly onto the floor. This practice is unacceptable and does not reflect the level of cleanliness and professionalism guests should expect.
Given that several aspects of the meal and service felt slightly out of sync with the consistently positive experiences we've had in the past, we decided to skip dessert and second rounds. While this visit was not up to the standard we've come to expect from U.T.M., we recognize that every restaurant can have an off day.
Will we return? Hmmm....maybe, but after exploring some of the many other dining options available in Lambertville and New Hope.

We’ve enjoyed Under the Moon Café many times, which made our most recent visit especially disappointing. Even though the restaurant wasn’t busy, we were seated on the cold porch. We asked to move to one of the many open tables in the sun, and it still took about 20 minutes to relocate our party of two.
Service was unusually poor. Our server took our order and then didn’t return until we were nearly finished eating. Another staff member dropped off our meals but left out a side dish we ordered without saying anything. The missing item never arrived. When we mentioned it to our server so it could be removed from the bill, she told us she couldn’t take it off because we had ordered it — and then placed a brand new order with the kitchen anyway. The side dish finally arrived 15–20 minutes later, long after we had finished eating.
I ordered the side to go with my meal, not as a takeout item. Being charged for something that wasn’t served with the meal is disappointing and not the level of service we’ve come to expect here. I hope this was an isolated incident, but it was a frustrating experience.
