  I have been coming here since they first opened in 2021. Every time I have ever come it's been empty, the food has always been extremely inconsistent quality wise but I thought the owners seemed nice enough and I liked their papa rellenas so I have been a regular for 5 years despite many problems. When I tried to come tonight I was surprised to see a line for the first time, but it is summer and a lot of people on the boardwalk looking for something easy. Unfortunately they don't have any experience being busy, so they made the decision to stop taking customers at 5:30 instead of their close time of 7. The owners screamed at me from the front to get out of line; in an extremely rude manner. After I drove around looking for parking for 20 minutes and then paid for parking just to pick up food from this "establishment." This isn't the first time I've come during their open hours to find them actually closed, but the unnecessary and disrespectful hostility for a regular will ensure I never return. There's a lot of better options in the area with kind, hard working people to support. Skip this one for sure, cash grab for summer visitors without any actual care for the people who support them year round.

  Walking up to this place, I was immediately excited because the smell is intoxicating! The couple that run the place are very sweet and accommodating, the food brought back memories of my childhood in my families kitchen. I had the pernil dinner meal, it was the most tender, flavorful, moist pernil I’ve ever had in my life. They give you a sizeable amount of food for the reasonable price. I highly recommend it, my friends and I most likely will come back just for their food.

  The food was yummy and the friendly service was impeccable. Love you guys. I wanted some delicious pernil with rice, what can I say? It was amazing, btw, The alcapurrias hit the spot too. Year after year Mambo’s food is just fantastic. You know a restaurant is great by the consistency of good food. I’m so thrilled to support this local restaurant.
