I asked the crew member preparing my food if he could place a sheet of parchment paper down first, as they usually do. He responded rudely, saying, “It’s already clean.” I replied, “Okay, no problem. I don’t want it.” I then walked over to the register and waited for the manager to ask for a refund. While he was talking about me to his colleagues, one lady turned around and stared at me in disgust. What happened to customer service? I wasn’t rude. I simply made a small request, and it was blown out of proportion because I wanted a refund.

I’m okay with paying mall prices but they then charged me 50 additional cents for less ice. Then when I paid and asked why there’s so many up charges they pointed to a printed out sign on the wall of their own prices. I then said okay well if that’s the case then just don’t give me any ice in my coffee. They then demanded 49 more cent and said that there’s an additional charge for no ice. I told them that was insane and just to put a few pieces. An immense amount of stress over a black light ice coffee. I will not be returning and I think that having a printed out sheet of your own prices shouldn’t be okay. 0/10 experience.

After trying to decide whether to keep it, I ultimately returned to the counter and politely explained the issue. I requested a refund because I no longer wanted the drink or a replacement. The refund process was more difficult than I expected. I was initially told that a refund could not be issued and was asked for my receipt. Unfortunately, I had already thrown it away in the store's trash can after placing my order. Although my order number was printed on the cup, I was informed that the receipt was required. What was most frustrating was being told to retrieve the receipt from the trash myself. The interaction left me feeling uncomfortable and embarrassed, especially since I was simply trying to resolve an issue with an incorrectly prepared drink. There also seemed to be some confusion regarding the refund process, as I received different explanations before the refund was eventually processed. While I appreciate that the refund was ultimately issued, the overall experience could have been handled with more professionalism and customer care. Mistakes can happen, but how concerns are addressed often has a bigger impact than the mistake itself.
