- DMDarlene MoormanApr 14, 20261.0I ordered groceries from the Acme online app on April 12,2026 at 6:19 pm. I ordered a flash delivery. The delivery window was 7 pm to 7:20 pm. At 7:49 pm I called the corporate Acme retail support line. The person said the delivery driver picked up the groceries. At 8 pm I called the local Acme in Jersey City because the groceries still had not been delivered and i had ordered frozen items and I didn't want them to thaw out. When I called the local Acme at 125 18th St, Jersey City their employee said my order hadn't been picked up yet. She said they turned away two drivers because the drivers said there were missing items from my order. That comment didn't make any sense to me at the time. Then she told me they would have a driver deliver my groceries. At 8:45 pm I called the local Acme and I spoke to a different employee. He said the driver picked up the delivery and he was on his way. Then he said all the frozen items were still at their store and he would have to get another driver to deliver those. I said to cancel those items. He said he would refund my money on the missing items. He didn't refund my money. I called the corporate number and they said they would refund it. The refund did appear on my credit card for a little while but then by evening it was gone. I called the corporate retail number and they told me the manager at the local Acme that didn't deliver half my order declined the refund. Then they said they couldn't over ride it and they would have to refund me for a previous order. I said that doesn't make any sense. I am not asking for a refund on anything other than the $28.20 from Order #: 167635588 from the night of April 12, 2026 for the frozen items that they didn't deliver. I'm upset. I will file a complaint with the BBB | Better Business Bureau so they can help me with this. I have been getting the run around and nothing makes sense. Just now I talked to Mike at the local Acme and he said he would refund it. He said he didn't know anything about it and no one from their store denied the refund. When the refund posts then I will delete this review. I am still confused and stressed out about this but I feel a little better after talking to Mike.
