- YKY KJul 13, 20261.0I have been a Ben & Jerry’s customer for more than 10 years, although this was my first visit to this particular location. Unfortunately, after this experience, I do not plan to return. While I was using the restroom, an employee repeatedly knocked on the door and told me that if I was not a customer, I needed to hurry and leave. The employee did not know whether I intended to make a purchase, yet I felt that I was immediately treated with suspicion and made to feel unwelcome. When I came out and asked to speak with a manager, I explained why the interaction was upsetting. However, I did not feel that my concern was handled professionally or that I received a sincere apology. I understand that businesses may have restroom policies, but those policies can still be communicated respectfully. As someone who has supported Ben & Jerry’s for over a decade, I am disappointed that my first experience at this location ended this way.
