  I don't enjoy knocking servers, it's a noble profession. But I have to call them like I see them. Two very good servers, one not very good at all. My brother, who happens to know his wines, asked for a glass of Pinot Grigio. Honestly, it was a very weak pour. But when he is tasted it, he said to me, "Ew, this is thin, it tastes like it's been open for a while." I told him don't accept it, just order something different. He mentioned that he wasn't crazy about the wine and he preferred something else. The female server seemed to take umbrage at his suggestion and said, "well let me just taste it and see." Right in front of my brother, clearly setting up a confrontation. Sorry, that is not a professional server. "Nope, good to me," she pronounced. Congratulations. You just told the customer they were wrong, which proves you are not understanding the craft of serving. It's a shame, because the other two were clearly well trained and professional. It matters. It sort of took the shine off of the other good things about the place, which I have enjoyed in the past. But probably not again.

  Well first time here was no wait for table .drinks served promptly and food ordered fast. Server was amazing in every way possible. The food was unbelievable tasty and season perfectly hays off to the chef.truly a 5 star chef the muscles were awesome and the sauce was to die for. So if ever in Hackensack n.j this place is a must try i highly recommend it.

  Sidebar has become one of my favorite places to hang out. The food, the drinks, the vibes, the staff… I love it all. They’re always adding new items to the menus and updating their happy hour menus. Shout out to Allen who has easily become one of my favorite people there.

  I've been coming here since it was Poors, and while I loved it back then, it definitely had more of a dive bar feel. The transformation into Sidebar has been a huge upgrade. It still has a laid-back atmosphere, but now it feels like a great neighborhood gastropub. I've been here for lunch, dinner with a group, and to watch the USA World Cup matches, and every experience has been a good one. The bartenders are always friendly, the food is consistently solid, and the atmosphere is one of the best parts. I also really appreciate that they have live music. It's becoming harder to find places that regularly feature live bands, and it adds a lot to the overall experience. Whether you're stopping in for a meal, drinks with friends, or to catch a game, Sidebar is definitely worth checking out.

  I order delivery every week from here. Fries used to be delivered crispy and now they are always soggy (use containers with holes!). And now the Caesar salad quality has declined significantly. I’ll probably have to look for another place. It’s a shame because the crispy chicken and the burgers are consistently good.
