There was no nitrogen effect, no cascading bubbles, no creamy texture—nothing that distinguishes a Nitro Cold Brew from a standard Cold Brew. When I politely pointed this out to the employee, he insisted that “our Nitro Cold Brew is supposed to look like this.” I even showed him photos online explaining the difference between a Nitro Cold Brew and a regular Cold Brew, but he refused to acknowledge the difference. The situation got worse when he told me, “If you want fancy coffee, go to Starbucks. Don’t come here.” I then opened the official Dunkin app and showed him that Nitro Cold Brew is listed as a separate product from Cold Brew. I explained that if what he served was just a Cold Brew, then I should at least be charged for a Cold Brew. He responded by claiming that Nitro Cold Brew and Cold Brew are exactly the same drink and cost the same price. Again, I showed him the Dunkin app proving that they are different products with different pricing. He then changed his explanation and claimed that the Nitro appearance only comes from adding foam, which is completely inaccurate. At that point, I requested a refund. Instead of resolving the issue professionally, he continued arguing and repeatedly told me not to come back and to go to Starbucks instead. I want to be clear: I generally like Dunkin and have had many positive experiences at other locations. This review is specifically about this store and the manager/employee who handled this situation. The problem wasn’t just receiving the wrong drink—it was the refusal to acknowledge an obvious mistake, the misinformation about the product, and the rude, disrespectful treatment toward a paying customer. Avoid this location. There are plenty of other Dunkin stores that actually understand their own menu and know how to treat customers with basic respect.
