  Food was excellent! You could tell that they were trying their best to get the orders out but they were figuring it out with limited staff. I’m sure that they will become proficient as they keep on doing this. Probably an assembly line for in house orders with one person working on phone call orders and a dedicated person working the register. I wish them well!

  My parents went on their own and were really excited to try a halal food place. The food was served to them cold. They told them and they said they could fix it, they warmed the pita bread but then the meat was still cold. They said they felt like they were eating frozen food.

  Being used to gyros mostly Greek joints in jersey is one thing, but damn OMGYRO halal is on another level not only with their gyro wraps and other signature dishes; but the fusion they bring to the table from Jamaican style jerk chicken to Indian spices and everything in between is what makes this place very unique from other gyro joints... I gotta try next time the lamb with Jerk chicken im sure it's as satisfying as their gyros. I highly recommend this place for all gyro lovers i rate this a10/10 🌟

  HEY Y’ALLLL 😍🍽️ food blogger checking innnn!!! Just checked out Omgyro and okay… I see the hype 👀🔥 First off — had to pull up because my girl Gen works there (yes girl I’m PROUD of you!! 💅). But let me be real, even if I didn’t know her, I’d still be writing this review. The food? DELIVERED. The house chicken platter was juicy, packed with flavor, and not dry at all (which is a struggle at some places). Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and made with actual care. And the fries?? Crispy, golden perfection, I could’ve eaten a second order easy. Service was on point (shoutout Gen again 😌), and the whole spot has that chill, no-frills vibe where the food does all the talking. If you’re anywhere near Elmwood Park, you NEED to tap in!!!!

  Was very excited and hopeful to try this new halal place in town but had a horrible experience. Girl on the phone was very nice in taking my order and gave a promise time but when I arrived she hadn’t even started prepping the food. I was made to wait nearly 20 mins even though I called 50 mins ago. Okay, I could have let that slide but when I went home with the 5 orders I was truly disgusted. The chicken smelled awful and was not cooked all the way. The chicken gyro was huge but just a big messy blob rolled in a pita. Tasteless and not even properly assembled. We couldn’t finish any of our foods and had to throw it out. Not worth it when there’s so many other halal eateries in the area (Madina Platters) that provide better service and much better platters and gyros!
