Great atmosphere, good food, great people!
Tassot was tender not hard like some places have it. The banan peze was a little too hard, but overall great experience. It wasn’t very busy when I went, so I got my food very quickly!
I really hate having to leave this review because up until the end of our visit, my husband and I were having a wonderful time. The food was great, the atmosphere was fun, and we enjoyed celebrating my husband’s birthday.
Unfortunately, my experience was ruined when I went to pay our bill. The woman handling the payment (I believe she may have been the owner or manager) looked at me and asked, “You drank beer?” When I said yes, she told me I wasn’t supposed to be drinking because I was pregnant. She pointed at my stomach and repeatedly insisted that I was pregnant.
I explained that I had actually given birth just five days earlier, but instead of believing me, she continued arguing with me and telling me I was pregnant and shouldn’t be drinking. It was incredibly embarrassing and hurtful to have someone repeatedly comment on my body and refuse to believe me when I explained the situation.
Eventually she apologized and accepted my payment, and I still tipped our server because he provided excellent service. However, the interaction completely overshadowed what had otherwise been a great evening.
Another thing that left a bad impression was the way we were treated compared to other customers. My husband is Haitian and was speaking to her in Creole. We are both Caribbean, yet she would respond to us in English while speaking Creole and being much friendlier with other customers. While I can’t know the reason for that, it made us feel unwelcome and treated differently. As fellow Caribbean people, that was disappointing.
No customer should have to defend their body or medical situation to a staff member. Whether someone is pregnant, postpartum, or neither, it’s simply inappropriate to make assumptions or repeatedly comment on a guest’s appearance. I hope this serves as a reminder to treat customers with more respect and sensitivity in the future.

The food is always on point! Good portions and taste. But that service needs work. One person at the bar to make drinks, take your order, clean the tables, pack online order and serve the food is crazy. Takes so long to get anything. They need to have at least two people.

1st time trying this place and I’ve lived here for 10years. Ordered food for pick up.
Food is extremely oily. Black rice was cold. Two pieces of chicken for $26 is crazzzyyy!!!!! And they gave me two pieces of boney chicken back with no meat on it. SMH spent over $100 on this food and very disappointed.
