I think 4.5 stars is warranted overall as some of the dishes were just okay. First, the positive- the roomali roti was the stuff of dreams. The gobi manchurian, the chili paneer and Hakka noodles were all excellent. Now was the middling items- the Szechuan fried rice was a 3.5 out of 5, it had too much haldi and not enough Szechuan masala flavor. The vada pav was maybe 4 stars, out of 5. And the chicken lollipops had too much food coloring. The service was great though. Varun suggested we get the sitafal cream and that was sublime. Very attentive service overall.

I’ve eaten here multiple times and mostly had their appetizers. The appetizers/chats are really good, which is why we decided to get their entrees. The paneer tikka and chicken tikka have no flavor. It tasted like straight cream and we asked to make it spicy. Spice level was mild and there was no taste. It was very disappointing and makes you wonder if the chefs even know what they’re serving.

I ordered take out in my effort to find the best Indian food in Iselin/Edison. I found it! Everything was prepared and spiced to perfection. The portions were generous.I’ve tasted 3 entrees, Samosas & Naan and can’t wait to try other dishes. I already recommended the restaurant to three people. There’s over 55 Indian Asian restaurants in this area — I’m grateful to find this exceptional one. The Lamb Vindaloo. Saag Palsk Paneer and Tikka Masala were each elegantly spiced. I can’t wait to introduce friends to your restaurant. Highly recommend!

If you ever want to test the absolute limits of your patience and blood sugar levels, Bombay Spice is your place. Arriving famished at 8:00 PM after a long drive, we ordered Bhel Puri, Dahi Bhalla, Pav Bhaji, and a sizzling brownie. What followed was a masterclass in poor service. By 8:45 PM, I had to remind the staff we were still waiting while people seated long after us were already eating. The true comedic peak arrived at 9:15 PM when a server approached our completely empty table to ask if we wanted any last minute orders before the kitchen closed. I had to gently inform them that receiving our first order would be enough instead of ordering more. When food finally appeared, the Bhel Puri was shockingly soggy and borderline inedible. I only ate it to avoid passing out on their floor from my low sugar. The staff then casually asked if we had everything, forcing us to remind them again about the missing Pav Bhaji and brownie. Those took another fifteen minutes to show up. By this point we were the last patrons in the restaurant, and we were treated to staff scrambling to close up and giving us occasional side eyes to pressure us into eating faster. We went on 6th September 2026 night. When I brought this completely miserable experience to the owner, I got a generic apology about a kitchen miscommunication and a bill that still fully charged us for the inedible Bhel Puri. The food is okay at best, but it is absolutely not worth the agonizing wait or the sheer disrespect for a customer's time. Save your money and go somewhere that actually remembers you exist.

I picked up four items from Bombay Spice 2: Lilva Kachori, Fried Rice, Vada Pav, and Paneer Subzi. Unfortunately, all four items were very disappointing and did not taste fresh or properly cooked. The Lilva Kachori was especially bad—it had an unpleasant taste and smell, and it seemed like it had been fried quite a while ago. The Fried Rice was honestly one of the worst dishes I’ve had from a restaurant. The paneer and Manchurian mixed into the rice tasted old and were served cold. Unfortunately, I also had stomach discomfort after eating the fried rice. All of these items were recommended by the person at the front desk, which made the experience even more disappointing. I was not expecting this from Bombay Spice 2. A couple of years ago, I remember the food being much better. The prices are quite high, but unfortunately the quality and freshness of the food did not justify what I paid. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and improves the quality and freshness of the food.
