Over the years I drove past this place a million times, I have never seen the free donut red light on (other locations put their red light often). One day, the first time since they opened a decade ago, I finally saw the red light was on! Awesome right? Me and the wife got excited and pulled in for a free donut. The dude at the counter said “Oh that was a mistake, it wasn’t supposed to be on” and we didn’t get our donut sadly. I didn’t care but it hit me later..like this place probably throws out over 100+ donuts every week, and you couldn’t just give me and my wife a donut? The light was on. Honor it. Not a big deal but the moral of the story is, in a world full of Ups and Downs, don’t be like the dude working at the counter.

Thank you to the super nice guy who served us today around lunch time (1-130ish)! Donuts couldn’t be fresher too!

Don't come from 2pm-3pm on some days because they only have 1 person working. That's how they schedule their staff. At random hours only one person is working at peak times. And to top it off multiple employee express how they don't get their break because they're "unstaffed" but they're not they have plenty of workers. And because they want to schedule one person for an hour in hopes they survive the rush and if they do happen to survive they still get in trouble by management if they got a complaint. But these are normal work conditions for anyone. Spoke with other customers today and they were in shocked that the cashier was by herself. Then when I told them to complain they didn't want to cuz they thought it would get her in trouble. Please I informed them it'll hurt the company not her. She does not make the schedule and of course she would not like to be alone dealing with person after person and some of these people have large orders. Please be kind cuz these franchise are kind to their workers.

Usually I don't write reviews, however my family had SUCH a positive experience with the employee (she was either the team lead/supervisor I believe. Her position wasn't as a manager) working in Memorial Day (yesterday) that I really wanted to give a shoutout in hopes someone higher up could see it! There's not many Krispy Kreme locations in CT and we were really excited to come across this one during our family day trip. She was so incredibly kind, personable and was really patient with our order (we ordered like 2 dozen assorted donuts). Although it was a short interaction, the positive interaction really made our family's day.

I stopped by the Krispy Kreme at Liberty Commons off Route 17 in East Rutherford, and overall, it was a really great experience. As soon as you walk in, the first thing you notice is how exceptionally clean and well-maintained the entire layout is. The seating area, floors, and glass cases were spotless, which is always a massive plus for a bakery.
The customer service was equally impressive. The workers behind the counter were very friendly, welcoming, and patient as we made our selection. They had a great attitude and worked quickly to get the orders boxed up.
My only real critique is the pricing display. Management should definitely revise or correctly place the doughnut item price tags. A few of the price labels on the display shelf were mixed up or misaligned with the actual varieties, which makes it a bit confusing to figure out the exact cost of the specialty flavors before checking out.
Fixing that visual pricing issue would make this location flawless. The doughnuts were perfectly soft and delicious, and I will absolutely be coming back to this spot!
