  Our waiter, Sean, was great and made the whole experience even better. The crab-stuffed portobello mushroom and burrata and prosciutto platter were both outstanding. The veal saltimbocca and veal Mediterranean were spot on. A perfect dinner from start to finish!

  My goodness this restaurant was a pleasant surprise/find. 100% recommend it. A beautiful restaurant with excellent food. Went for the early bird special and it did not disappoint. This is not Sysco frozen foods dining. The food actually tastes like something someone made with pride. Can’t wait to try more dishes! The only negative experience I had was with the hostess. I think she could work on her tone. It comes off rude— and it wasn’t just to myself— I witnessed her talking to others (in person) and on the phone sounding rude. Our server was great.

  Today was my first visit to Icarra. The staff was impeccable. I met the owner Vincenzo. A true restauranteur. He treats his guests as if you were in his home. The staff treat you like family. I wish I could eat with this family every night. I had the linguine and clams after being served the Crab bisque soup and the chocolate mousse. Absolutely the best I've ever eaten. I know good Italian cooking. This food was stupendous. I look forward to visiting Vincenzo and his staff in the near future. I hope to be able to try everything on his menu. Continue success, Vincenzo and ICCARA. The American dream. A true Italian meal everyone treats you like family. As I've always said food is love and you sure feel it at this restaurant. Thank you again.

  I was going to write a detailed review about how rude and unprofessional the young lady who is the hostess is. However, after looking at the collective negative reviews it became clear that doing so would be an exercise in redundancy. There’s an obvious trend. Let’s just say that she must be family. Because there is no way a business would tolerate her, otherwise. She would do herself and Iccara a great service by finding a line of work that is better suited for her discourteous disposition. A position that is not customer facing would be best. An example … why would you ask a customer for their phone number only to respond with a curt “hold-on-hold-on” when a reply was offered. Furthermore, while I’m sure she thinks her attire is attractive, the extremely short skirts are less than appropriate for her role. Then again there is only so much one can do to fill an expansive personality gap.

  My wife and I usually stay in Cape May two to three times a year. We always make a reservation to dine at ICCARA. There are many choices but always make sure ICCARA is one of them. It is family owned and you can really feel it. The dining area, service and food is always excellent. Have been frequenting this restaurant for many years. Loved the original location and the new location is even better. There has to be thousands of patrons that frequent the establishment each year but the couple times a year that we visit, the owner always remember us. That really shows how much they care care about their patrons. Please don't change a thing. Will be visiting again very soon!
