After hearing that the café owner had requested a street be named after Lionel Messi, I knew I had to check this place out with my husband and daughter, who are huge Messi fans. Thankfully, it did not disappoint.
We stopped by for lunch and enjoyed everything from the fresh empanadas to the delicious milanesa and refreshing drinks. The only thing I regret is not saving room for one of their desserts!
There was a World Cup match playing during our visit, and we were able to watch the entire game outdoors without ever feeling rushed. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was great, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations.
I’d definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking to try authentic Argentine food, especially fellow Messi fans :)
Side note: if some of the food photos show half-eaten plates, it's because everything was so good that we completely forgot to take pictures before digging in! 😆

Patria Station Café is a hidden gem in Berkeley Heights. The food is authentic, fresh, and feels like a true taste of Argentina. The empanadas, pastries, and dulce de leche desserts are outstanding, and everything is made with attention to detail.
What really sets this place apart is the atmosphere. The staff and owners make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in, and the café has a warm, family-owned feel that is hard to find these days. Whether you're stopping in for coffee, lunch, or Argentine pastries, the quality is consistently excellent.
If you've never tried Argentine food before, this is the perfect place to start. And if you're from Argentina, you'll appreciate how authentic it is. Highly recommended and one of the best local spots in the area.
Vi en TN que Carolina informaba sobre la gestión de ponerle el nombre a la calle MESI . Genial !!!!! Felicitaciones !!! Cuando vaya por allá pasaré por el Patria Station a comer algo. Está hermoso el lugar.

I visited Patricia Café yesterday and unfortunately had a disappointing customer service experience. When I arrived, I stood at the counter for a while without acknowledgment while the barista continued working. A simple greeting or “I’ll be right with you” would have made a big difference.
After giving my pickup name, I was told I would need to wait because the other customer’s cappuccino shouldn’t get cold, which came across dismissively considering my own order also included hot food.
I later called to explain why the interaction bothered me, but felt repeatedly interrupted and ultimately hung up on before I could fully speak. I understand cafés get busy, but respectful communication and customer acknowledgment go a long way.
Hidden gem in Berkeley Heights. I first tried their food at a food festival and everything was so delicious. Also met the owner Carolina and she was so friendly and welcoming explaining about their business. Then I visited their location and it’s such a cute spot with outdoors and indoors seating, plenty of space. It’s decorated with lots Argentine flags and I’m sure it’s a great location to watch the World Cup.
Impressive selection of empanadas and they’re delicious. I had the beef, spice beef and chicken. I also tried the alfajores and I had to buy a whole box. Then I had their traditional matte and it’s cool to watch the preparation. I highly recommend this spot
