I got the beef and cheese empanadas, the chicken empanadas and the pernil & rice dinner and I promise you it was some of the most delicious and flavorful food. The restaurant is clean and the staff is super friendly. I can’t wait to come back!

The staff at El Gordo Coqui is exceptional, so kind, and they are passionate about the food the make and serve. The food is always 10/10 too!! We enjoy getting the chopped cheese empanadas (and many others) and the steak & onions platter is extremely generous and delicious. God bless you all

If you get the chance, order their Cuban !!!! I’ve had Cubans from all over the east coast. Theirs are the best !!! Rice and beans are 10/10, always cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. Pernil is always moist and their stewed meats are delicious. Even their desserts are amazing! My son loves their Tres Leches. I’m grateful to have them nearby. 🙏🏼

Friendly. Even the Owner made conversation with us during our first visit. Was so good thats why we went back a second time and it wont be our last. Definitely recommend all my friends and family to go here

Talking with the staff felt like family. The restaurant definitely felt like visiting a piece of Puero Rico. Looking forward to visiting again!
