When I walked into this restaurant I was under the impression for it to be a fun experience with a beautiful decor. I walked into and I had my drinks in to time but, my family hadn’t ordered any appetizers. We were waiting for the food for an hour. We sat in a booth, and I could see the booth infront of me. I kid you not, the table infront of us came in, ate a meal with dessert and left and we still hadn’t received our food. The waitress came by to apologize multiple times which I truly did appreciate and I know it wasn’t her fault in any way. When we asked why the wait, she said it had just been a very long day and they were understaffed. Look I truly understand, but the thing is, the table infront of us had a meal, and left and we were still sitting there. When the food finally arrived, it was the worst sirloin I had ever had. I didn’t even eat, and I wasn’t about the order again. Once we left, we had missed all the fireworks of the forth of July. The entire point of the Fourth of July is to celebrate the independence of this country and to watch the fireworks in celebration. We missed every single one. After all of that you would think that they would at-least give us some sort of complimentary drink or appetizer or maybe even help with the check. It was $180. No help. I’ve never wanted to stand up and leave more than that day. Of course I didn’t and I paid the check but I’m definitely never coming back unless I’m dying of hunger and theirs nothing nearby, and if I would come here I would die of hunger anyway with the 1 hour wait. Do not come here.
I don't know how this place stays in business. The advertising is very misleading. They promote "Buy one margarita, get one half off," but what they don't tell you is that you have to buy one full-price drink, finish it, and then order a second one to get the discount. No sharing is allowed, and if you order a third margarita, it's back to full price. It feels more like a gimmick than a promotion.
The food was exactly what you'd expect from a tourist chain,$5 for a soda. $20 for a burger! was generic and forgettable. The décor feels outdated and a bit cringeworthy, like stepping into a Hooters from the 1990s.
The customer service was okay, and the staff wasn't the issue. The concept, atmosphere, and misleading promotions are what made the experience disappointing.
There are plenty of better places to eat and drink in Atlantic City. I wouldn't recommend Margaritaville, and I won't be returning.
The wait was close to a half hour, which isn't bad since it's inside right next to a casino. I want to say the food was worth the wait, but I can not. Everything of course, is a little overpriced, so it doesn't make me want to drink margaritas at margaritaville. Our waitress was nice and honest about food suggestions. The only discrepancy I had with her was that I told her to replace a side dish and they didn't do it. My meal was ruined because of how salty the original vegetable that came with that meal was. When I reminded her, she did give me the dish on the side. But the meal was already messed up, it came mixed in on the plate. Everyone that I was with was not happy with their meal. But we came in hungry so we finished our meal. It's just not a place we would wanna go to again because of how small the amount of food was for the price they charged and the taste.
I wanted to love this place. The atmosphere is excellent, and they had a live musician who was extremely talented. However, the service and management issues completely soured the experience.
Our waiter was new, and while he was polite, the delays were unacceptable. We waited 45 minutes after our appetizers arrived before anything else happened. When we asked for an update, he mentioned a "large group order" had been placed ahead of ours, which felt like a weak excuse.
The situation escalated when the manager, Henrique, arrived. He contradicted the waiter's story entirely, claiming the chicken was overcooked and he refused to send it out. The most frustrating part was that he didn't tell us this until we asked. It felt like we were being lied to about the delay rather than being told the truth immediately.
To make matters worse, despite admitting the food was ruined and never serving it, we were still charged for the appetizers and drinks. A manager who lies to customers about the reason for a delay and then charges them for food displays poor ethics and a lack of respect for patrons.
I hope management addresses these issues, specifically the transparency with customers and the billing errors. I can't recommend this place until the service and integrity issues are resolved.

We will absolutely never visit here again. My family and I came this past Friday afternoon around 2pm for lunch. We decided to just sit at the bar in lieu of getting a table. There was barely anybody in the restaurant so we figured it would be a quick lunch. It was over 25 minutes before we were even asked if we wanted to put food in. We did, and we were talking and catching up then realized it had been about 45 minutes since we put our order in. We waited another 20 minutes and still didn’t have our food (so now over an hour since we put our easy lunch order in). We finally found and flagged the bartender who took our order down and asked what was going on with our food. He said there were still 2 tickets ahead of ours in the kitchen because they had “large parties in the boat booths” that held up the restaurant. We walked over to observe these “large party boat booths” and each had about 6 people in them who were all actively eating. So unless there was one single person working alone in the kitchen or he just forgot to ever ring our order in, there was no way there was still 2 tickets ahead of ours. My elderly diabetic mother was with us and she needed to eat at that point because her blood sugar was plummeting so we told him at this point forget it, we’ve been there for almost two hours with no food and at this point we need to find her something to eat so forget our food and just give us the check for our drinks. 10 minutes later he hands me the bill and it has the food on it. The food we ordered over an hour ago that never came. At this point we flagged down the manager and got him involved. He fixed it in the computer system, but in no way was remotely apologetic about the situation. No I’m so sorry, nothing. Another 10 minutes goes by after the manager fixes it in the computer and the bartender has yet to bring us the new corrected bill. I finally flag the manager down again and ask if he can just print it for me because at this point we are totally done and need to get my mom food. This is the first time I’ve ever gone out to eat, been at the restaurant for 2 hours, and never gotten any food. Nobody cared. Nobody apologized. Everyone employed here needs to be retrained. Absolutely deplorable service (or lack there of I should say!)
